We are calling all fathers, partners, grandparents, aunties, siblings, and support people to join us on Saturday, August 31, for an interactive class on breastfeeding basics.
Throughout the workshop, we will discuss the advantages of breastfeeding from nutritional benefits to emotional bonds. Interactive learning stations will be arranged around the room, providing hands-on opportunities to learn about breastfeeding positions, the art of latching, and the effective use of breastfeeding accessories. The practical portion is designed to impart real-life skills and foster a supportive community atmosphere.
We will also address how family members can play an essential role in supporting breastfeeding, ensuring that mothers feel encouraged and assisted throughout their journey. It's a class you will want to attend!

Listen, I am an EXPERT in infant nutrition. I am also an EXPERT in Human Breastmilk. In what ever ways your family needs support, I will provide this comfort.
Deciding not to breastfeed is a valid choice for parents struggling with breastfeeding. As a parent, choosing your own mental health, physical health or emotional health by electing to switch to bottle feeding is a viable option to feeding your baby when the situation dictates it. What situations dictate the switch to bottles? It's a very short list:
1) Whenever the parents would like to bottle feed instead of breastfeed.
We need to take a step back and support families instead of blindly chasing ideals because on occasion, chasing those ideals can cause harm.
(A quick aside - any mentions of "breast is best", "fed is best", bottle shaming, etc will get deleted and that person will immediately get banned. This is a support page. Be supportive or leave.)

The left is the appropriate amount of a feed for a newborn on day one. Do NOT let the right fool you. You're not starving your child
EDIT: please read. R E A D. Day one. One feed. This is not formula vs breastmilk. If your child took more then 5/7/10 ml per feed on day one, willingly thats great! If on day one your breastfed infant got 5 ML, great. This is not the case of starvation. This post does not address actual starvation it’s about stomach volume. The comments went entirely out of control and will soon be turned off
