This is the story of Bella, a Blue Nose Pit Bull rescued by the Washington Humane Society. She is a goodwill ambassador for pit bulls everywhere.
Bella was found by the Washington Humane Society on the streets of Washington DC -- hungry, fearful and alone -- in August 2014. Her forever family brought her home to Upper Northwest Washington on September 22, 2014. She has many adventures with her family, traveling up and down the east coast to visit relatives and friends, winning admirers and surprising skeptics wherever she goes. While still occasionally anxious, she has learned to overcome her fears of people and other dogs. Most children can see in her eyes that she is a loving girl, and they help adults overcome their fears.
