I just noticed that all of the snow was melted, so I had to post this throwback of this beautiful sunrise from the other day when we still had snow on our lawn. Feeling grateful for the longer days and later sunsets.

Oddly enough, having a tech-free day felt amazing. It feels embarrassing (?!) to admit that I rely on my phone way too much. 🫣 For example…

I had conversations with people without distractions. 🫣

I started reading an actual book. 🫣

I reviewed old notes from a notebook. 🫣

It was great and I think Sundays is the perfect day to do it.
10/10 recommend.

I’m not ready to leave my phone and let it die (like does), because WHAT IF there’s an emergency ?! But we’re getting there. 😂

My family is going to do a “tech free Sunday”. 😳😵‍💫😵

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions because I already know that I’m going to have a hard time. 🤪

👉🏽 My first idea is to put my phone on airplane mode so that I can at least take some pictures. 🤔

My husband asked me what I wanted to do with this page. (I hung up my selling shoes last year when I got sick.) I told him, “I just want to point people to Jesus”.
I realize that social media is designed to focus on the external, the aesthetic, and consumerism (and that’s ok, it’s the world we live in). But if I can remind people that Jesus is the most important thing that matters, that’s enough for me.

A lot of people think of courage as having to do really hard things, but in my experience it’s the simple ones that take strength. Breaking habits that you’ve developed over years, refusing to stay in the same friends group that lead to bad choices, standing up for your faith in a world that tells you that it’s not politically correct, etc. We can be strong.
