Chamber of Mothers made a statement at the House Democrats’ Affordability Working Group on Healthcare. Our message? Mothers’ issues are mainstream issues. Maternal health is at the heart of our healthcare accessibility and affordability problem. We’ve got to stop treating maternal health as a niche issue and see mothers’ health as the health of our nation.

Huge thanks to Rep. Lauren Underwood Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Rep. Terri Sewell for co-convening this critical conversation with stakeholders like CHAMBER OF MOTHERS

Thank you for this piece . exists to make sure our lawmakers take mothers’ concerns seriously. And we won’t stop until they do. Join us !

Favorite lines from the piece:

“For half a century, American parents have tried to be exceptional individuals, contorting themselves into every possible shape to make the raising of children possible. They have saved, they have delayed, they have settled for smaller families in smaller homes. They have tried to survive under the strangest logic that the act of caring for others, of all things, should be seen as an individual pursuit or even indulgence. The help that is needed never seems to come: There is no amount of private exertion that can overcome public indifference.”

A word.

New handle, same mission, same me. 👋 Hi, I’m Erin Erenberg — co-founder and CEO of , full-time advocate for moms, and proud mother of three.
If you’re new here — or if we haven’t connected yet — welcome. This is where I share a behind-the-scenes look at what it means to fight for mothers every day: in the halls of Congress, in policy meetings, and in the quiet moments that remind me why this work matters so much.

You’ll find my takes on policy and advocacy, updates from D.C., stories from real moms, and the unfiltered truth about what it’s like to push for change and unity in a system that too often divides us.

If you’re a mom, a policymaker, an ally — or someone who simply cares about families — I’m so glad you’re here. Drop a comment and introduce yourself. I’d love to know who you are and why this work matters to you.

Heard this quote on and it stopped me in my tracks.

Right now, it’s female friendships.

I have shifted most of my work hours to fighting for more support for mothers from our government with and engaging in conversations that encourage women to live whole lives. And in this work, I am both hopeful and tired. I realize every hour that we as moms are not supported as we should be.

And when I really ask myself how I keep going: it’s my girls. I wouldn’t be ok without trusted friends who help me hold and process and feel it all.

How about you? What supports you even as you walk through your day without the support you deserve?
