Sometimes God places opportunities in places you're not even looking.
This project started with a Yelp inquiry that I almost overlooked.
During our consultation, the client asked, "Are you a minority-owned business?" When I answered yes, she smiled and said, "Good. We're a multicultural organization, and we want to partner with minority-owned businesses."
She then shared that the awards were for the Church Of God In Christ AIM Convention.
At that moment, it became so much bigger than another project.
I was raised in COGIC. My grandparents, my father, who faithfully serves as a pastor, and my brother, who also pastors, have all poured into this ministry. To now have the opportunity to create awards that would be presented on such a meaningful stage is something I never could have planned.
From beginning to end, I truly believe this assignment was ordered by God.
I'm grateful for every opportunity to use the gifts He's given me, and I'm honored that KK&S Designs was trusted to be a small part of such an incredible event.

Today, I hit pause.
Not to create.
Not to design.
Just to reflect.
I was scrolling through my portfolio, and for a moment I forgot these were my projects.
I'm in awe of what God has allowed me to build over the years. Every piece represents a client who trusted me with their vision, a lesson learned, and a reminder of how far this journey has come.
Now I'm curious...

For this event, our client wanted something a little more colorful.
Instead of offering just one option, we brought a curated selection of leather travel pouches in multiple colors, allowing each guest to choose the one that fit their style.
Once they made their selection, we engraved it live with their name—creating a keepsake that was both personal and practical.
