Finished off this vest the other month but waited to post until my little sister received it. Blue and gold for her senior year of highschool.

June was a busy month for myself as it was filled with sewing my daughters 4th of July regalia(because I waited last minute). This year was that last year I was able to enter my daughter in the Lovie Harris Baby Beauty Contest and she placed 1st for the 12-23mo age group. For the sake of keeping her private I covered her face.

She was wearing a muskrat parky with white and purple leather detailing along the front shoulders going to the back and up the hood; a sunshine ruff made from wolverine, wolf belly and fur from the back of the wolf; beaver cuffs and wolverine trimming along the bottom of the parky. Underneath her parky she was wearing a purple sparkly atikluk with fancy qupaks that matches mamas. To finish off her regalia she was wearing hard bottom mukluks with a seal skin body, beaver trimming and purple leather. All made for her by her mama Egona(myself).

I am very proud of how it all turned out. This was my very first time making a muskrat parky and sunshine ruff. I didnt know where to start and I think that was the longest part of the whole process, which ended in me finishing the ruff and not liking how it turned out the first time to ripping it apart to sew it together in a different way. To say the least I now know what to do if I ever make another. For the muskrat parka I just started with cutting them all apart as I didnt use any part of the belly of the muskrat and went on from there.
