Today marks successfully surviving the first 3 weeks of a no-grocery-shopping-until-March Pantry Challenge! 🙌

Two months without grocery shopping is where the rubber meets the road on using the harvest of the previous year. This is where all the hours of canning, freezing, fermenting, and dehydrating pays off in nourishing meals during the coldest months. 😋

Yes, I miss my fresh bananas, but you can't put a price tag on the satisfaction of seeing- and eating- the fruits of your labor!

(Okay, you caught me... I did squirrel away a few bags of chips, pecans, and maybe one or two other treats beforehand 🤫)

❄Homestead Journey Updates!
Winter may stop the garden, but the projects continue...

Those who have followed me for a while know that over the past few years, I've been doing my best to learn and practice the things my grandma could probably do in her sleep. One day, I hope to put these skills to use on my own little homestead.🌱

In the meantime, the same values of slow, thoughtful, hands-on work guide me everyday as a massage therapist helping to support each person on their own journey.

👣Homesteading and growing a massage business may seem to be on different paths, but to me they are both important pieces in my journey to build a life centered around health, wellness, and living with intention.

This past week on the homestead included the small but satisfying projects of making tallow balm and venison jerky!
