One of the coolest things about being a lash artist is realizing that sometimes my work leaves the studio…and ends up traveling farther than I do.

There’s something pretty incredible about knowing that a set I created in my studio has looked out over Icelandic landscapes, walked streets in Portugal, crossed through Switzerland, traveled into Africa, and made its way all the way to Greenland.

Turns out my lash artistry has a passport. 😉

A Monday Reflection ✨

This past weekend, I found myself thinking about all the people who sit because they want my services—and the completely different worlds they return to when they leave.

Someone trains dogs.
Someone studies the science behind our food.
Someone teaches second graders.
Someone welcomes kindergartners into their very first classrooms.

There’s a professional dancer. An actuary. A warehouse worker. A wellness center director. An author.

Someone dedicates their life to rescuing cats.
A mother dedicates hers to raising a family.
A paraprofessional helps a child make it through another school day.

Someone works in the operating room in cardiology.
Someone works in aviation sales.
Someone supports the mental health of women navigating pregnancy.

And those are just a handful of the people I encountered this weekend.

It made me think about how easily we move through the world without realizing just how much everyone around us is contributing to it.

Teaching. Healing. Creating. Calculating. Caring. Rescuing. Building. Supporting. Moving. Nurturing. Showing up.

Every person carries knowledge I don’t have, experiences I haven’t lived, and a role in this world I couldn’t fill quite the way they do.

One of the unexpected gifts of doing what I do is getting these little glimpses into people’s lives. They come to me for an hour or two to care for themselves, but somewhere in the conversation, I get to learn about the ways they’re caring for the world around them.

So, heading into this Monday, I’m carrying a little more appreciation for the people we pass every day.

The world works because we all bring something different to it.

And sometimes, you just need a weekend full of conversations to remember how extraordinary ordinary people really are. 🤍
