🫒 Green undertones eat flesh toned pigment. That’s the simplest way I can describe it.

Similar principles can be applied to makeup for melanated skin across the board, but color correction is particularly essential for olive skin and multi-tonal skin.

Even on myself, being light + olive- I find that darkness around my eyes is emphasized more easily, and pigment and shine are dulled when they hit my skin.

So, on dark + olive skin, color correction is doubly important in order to maintain a healthy-looking tone (I.e. to avoid graying out the skin with makeup).

Ojala is pretty neutral / balanced between warm and cool, so I color corrected with somewhere between a pink and a peach.
