Looks like someone turns 4 soon. But...she's not going to be home to celebrate. In fact she'll be in NY for clinical's for the next 2-3 months. Day 3 - Labs, another Ommaya tap, and 30-45
Minute scans. It made for a long day but she handled like a champ. Sweet girl.. You are my hero!

12 days until this sweet baby is 4.. I can’t even believe it. These last 2 years have been the craziest but she has shown how absolutely amazing, incredibly strong willed, and just breathtakingly brave a little soul could be.

This birthday isn’t going to be ideal. No real party since it’s just Her and I. I’ll post her wish list for those asking.

I would love for yall to fill up her room with cards.

Today was a hard day. I had to delete my Facebook because I was fuming mad and knew that I would post a lot of things I would regret later.

So today was injection day.
Counts look great.
ANC - 2630
Platelets- 142
Hemoglobin- 9.5

It was 15 minutes before the injection that evening went sideways. Here’s my problem:
1. How are you going to tell me to stay 3 feet away from my TODDLER for 2 days??

2. How are you going to tell me that she cannot sleep within 6 feet of me in the same bed when we are 1. In a different state 2. Already unfamiliar with everything going on and not around anyone she knows

3. How are you going to tell Our Doctor that I no longer want to proceed with treatment, because I was upset about information handed to me 15 minutes before it was going to happen.
-side note: NEVER ONCE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT NOT DOING THIS TREATMENT.

4. Tell me that once we stick her head with this needle, remove it and she calms down to give her the iPad and then sit atleast 3 feet away from her.

5. Transportation home from today’s treatment - no public transportation and must try to stay 3 feet away from people.. (in New York City… good luck)

All of this was information given to be by a radiology tech. There was such more that happened. Including confronting him about saying we didn’t want treatment, followed by him saying.. no one is saying that you didn’t want to continue.. I said Sir, our doctor (who was still standing a foot away from me) LITERALLY JUST SAID “I was told you did t want to move forward with treatment”.

We then proceeded with 3 ommaya taps (btw I had to hold her for.. there went that 3 ft theory sir), blood work and scans. She is now sleeping.. I am decompressing and getting ready to start all over tomorrow with scans and another Ommaya tap (that again… I will be holding her)

Oh and my favorite…
“Maam, here is a card if you get stopped by police officers if she happens to set off their radio activity alarms”.

Here we go! Injection Day and a day full of appointments, scans, Ommaya taps.

Pray this injection does its job. Pray she handles everything so amazing well.
