July has been a beautiful whirlwind!💙

From wrist corsages and boutonnières to bridal bouquets, bridesmaid bouquets, and countless DIY flower buckets, we’ve been honored to be part of so many special celebrations this month.

One thing has been clear… blue is definitely the color of the season! We’re especially grateful for our incredible crop of nigella, hydrangeas, and tweedia, giving us those true blue blooms that have been in such high demand.

Flowers for a Frog and Toad themed birthday! 🐸🌿

I absolutely love a good theme, and when I was told it was Frog and Toad, I was even more excited. As a child, I read the very same books my mom had when she was growing up. It brought back so many nostalgic memories of following Frog and Toad’s adventures, eagerly turning each page to see what they would get up to next.

The first arrangement is a true representation of the classic books, with woodland inspired blooms and greenery. For the other three, I wanted to add a bit more color while still staying true to the whimsical, storybook feel of Frog and Toad.

Working with flowers allows me to bring stories to life, and helping create special memories is one of the many reasons I love what I do.

Flowers for Drying ✨

We grow a variety of flowers that are perfect for drying!

Ammobium, strawflower, statice, feverfew, and larkspur hold their beautiful color long after they’ve been harvested, making everlasting bouquets even more special.

Bunny tails are new to us this year, and how can you not be obsessed with them? Their soft, fuzzy blooms truly look like little bunny tails and add the sweetest texture to fresh or dried arrangements.

One of the best things about dried flowers is that they allow you to enjoy a piece of the flower farm long after the growing season has passed.

Like little moments frozen in time, these flowers preserve the beauty of the season, allowing it to linger in your home long after the last blooms have faded.

We were a little too busy celebrating my dad to wish all the fathers out there a Happy Father’s Day!

Harry to most, but Dad to me.

He does it all. From fixing just about anything, to wrangling snakes out of the chicken coop and relocating them to safer spots around the farm. He loves every animal that calls Sunshine Farm home, grows some fabulous sunflowers, thriving hops, and delicious vegetables, all while working full-time as a heart and vascular nurse.

His work ethic, compassion, and willingness to help anyone in need never cease to amaze me. Sunshine Farm would not be what it is today without him.
