Hydration, proportion and a subtle lift—here’s how we approached this lip treatment.
First, Dr. Bonnie listened to exactly what her patient wanted: lips that felt more hydrated and balanced, without added volume.
She selected Restylane Kysse for soft, natural refinement, while explaining why the original Restylane can also be an excellent choice when hydration is the primary goal.
Next, she treated the corners of the mouth for a gentle lift, refined the perimeter to soften fine lines, and added a small amount to the center of the lower lip for subtle plumpness.

In this tutorial, Dr. Bonnie walks through each step of placing threads along the cheeks: numbing the treatment area, creating the proper pathway, placing the threads with precision, and carefully trimming them once positioned.
The goal is a subtle, nonsurgical lift with results that continue to refine as collagen production is stimulated. Patients may notice an immediate lift, with continued improvement over the following weeks. The threads gradually dissolve over time, while the collagen response can help support results for a year or more, depending on the patient and treatment plan.
