No one came, & that's just fine. The warm weather invited many activities & no one could come to my TAG (Tea, Art, Gossip) party. Since I was alone, I skipped the tea & opted for my favorite pop, guaraná. I shared some of my pop with the maintenance men working next door. Guaraná is highly cafenated, extra energy for those working on the weekend. We chatted for a few minutes, satisfying my social needs for the day.
The second Saturday of the month is still a day for art, regardless of who's home. After about an hour of painting I was struck by inspiration. My mailbox was 50 shades of rust. I cleaned & sanded it to prep for paint. Once I started, I couldn't stop. Black spray paint to cover it all. The gold accent on the fleur de lis was lovely, but I couldn't leave it be. Silver flowers, metallic rainbow swirls, neon shimmer. Layer after layer until it was time for the gloss finish. I'm thrilled with my creation. Time moves differently when paint is involved. The day bloomed in a whimsical way. I never know what to expect when I choose to .
