When it’s windy and pouring rain but the hair and makeup stay in place all night!!

The question I get asked the most is “will everything stay in place”?

My answer is YES…

Yes, BUT it’s a team effort!

What do I mean by that?

We go over all the details in your trial but a few things I mean are…

1. You can cry…you’re probably going to! But always pat your face and don’t rub. This will keep you from smearing your makeup.

2. Everything is water proof except your hair. If it’s predicted to rain on the big day all the product in the world won’t keep your hair in place if it’s getting poured on. Please plan and bring an umbrella! Bring enough umbrellas for all the women in your bridal party.

3. If it’s hot and humid choose a reasonable hairstyle. Hair doesn’t like humidity. If your hair is down it will more than likely frizz if it has ANY natural wave or curl and it’s bound to droop otherwise.

4. Please please please have something to touch up your lips! While I have many long wearing lip colors they will need touching up if you plan to eat, drink, kiss or just lick your lips from time to time.

My goal is to give you the best style for you that will last for the duration of that special day!

Do you have a natural curly texture and want to use it for your up do?

No problem! There are so many ways to style natural curly hair so you’ll feel like yourself!

The key is to wash, condition and put your product in your hair so it has plenty of time to dry before your styling appointment time.

When you sit in my chair with your dry, curly hair, I use some iron work to touch up your natural curl pattern along with some cream and spray products for soft, natural control. 💕

Do you ever wish you could have long hair and short hair at the same time?

I just cut about 5 inches off my locks but now that I’ve done these extensions on my client I’m having long hair envy!! 😅

Extensions are definitely not low maintenance but they are awesome for adding length and volume to your hair! Especially for special occasions!

How do you keep that color fresh after leaving the salon?

The number one most important thing is to make sure you are using professional salon products for your newly color treated hair!

There is nothing worse than spending your money on a fabulous new color and then not spending the money for the appropriate home care…

A great start is to make sure you leave your appointment with a shampoo and conditioner to take care of your color and that it’s meant for your hair type/texture.

The next most important, a heat protectant/styling product protect your hair from the heat of your styling tools and from nature’s elements…

Now that summer is approaching it’s important to protect your hair from the sun to prevent fading. We have plenty of products with safe UV protection made for your hair!

A hat always works wonders too! ☀️☀️

If you love to take photos of your work, we have a beautiful photo area. We also supply water, coffee, tea, and snack for the clients.

Last weekend, Kaitlyn got married and we did a super natural look!

Since she doesn’t wear much more than mascara daily, it didn’t take much to dress it up a little!

She’s wearing a little concealer under the eyes, airbrush foundation that is light as a feather, vey light eyeshadow and lashes!

That’s it!! Doesn’t she look amazing?!

Hey Bridal Babes!!

How many of you walked into the bridal shop with a certain style of dress in mind and wound up leaving with something totally different?

My guess is more of you than not…am I right??

Well the same thing can happen for hair or makeup looks.

Sometimes we have one thing in mind and decide that we don’t like it on ourselves.

This doesn’t mean that it doesn’t look beautiful, but it simply means it winds up not being exactly what we want for the big day!!

No problem!!

The key is to be open and honest with your artist!

Also, it’s important to schedule yourself so you have enough time to play at your trial and to be able to change things if you want.

Sometimes, if you’d like to try completely different things it works better to schedule more than one trial date…

All of these are things to consider when booking and coming to your hair and makeup trial because sometimes it’s just tough to decide without seeing ourselves in different looks!

Whatever it is that you decide works for you and makes you happy is my ultimate goal!
