Denise O’Brien, a charismatic and passionate publicist, author, philanthropist, activist, and successful businesswoman motivates the lives of thousands worldwide. After decades of working in entertainment, fashion and beauty, Denise’s life was transformed forever when her daughter Brittany was nearly killed in a tragic accident, brain dead and in a coma for over two weeks. After Denise’s time at Brittany’s bedside during her 40 day stay in the UCLA NeuroTrauma ICU, she made a miraculous full recovery. Denise’s caregiver story of one of the greatest challenges of her life has inspired thousands worldwide. Denise is also the Founder/CEO and Executive Director of the nonprofit, Wings of Love International, Inc., helping survivors of domestic abuse through her mission to empower, educate, and inspire a pathway from abuse to emotional health, wholeness and abundance. As the CEO of DOME Consulting, LLC, Denise encourages others to live their dreams by providing innovative branding and publicity support for Hollywood producers, actors, speakers, authors and companies. As a sought after speaker and expert on the topics of public relations, self-esteem, inner and outer beauty, confidence, empowerment, domestic violence, and creating your own charismatic package, Denise encourages others to discover their own passions while developing their inner beauty. She studied communications, public relations, journalism and business administration, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude with a Presidential Citation from Loyola Marymount University. In April 2012 Denise was recognized as a Distinguished LMU Alumna and awarded the prestigious Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award. A bronze plaque in her honor was dedicated on the LMU Entrepreneurship Wall of Honor, Conrad Hilton Business Building, Los Angeles, CA, where very few women are honored for their contributions to the world. A former newspaper editor, advertising executive, producer at KNBC-TV Los Angeles, and a single mother of three, she is a talented multi-tasker and is known for squeezing a lot into 24 hours. She attributes this skill to her parents’ example, and her college days where she played NCAA soccer, broadcasted for KXLU Radio, edited her college newspaper, and worked full-time to pay her own way by working at a domestic violence shelter.
