Through consistent treatments, a customized home care routine, and commitment to the process, we achieved significant improvement in inflammation, breakouts, and overall skin clarity in a little over 90 days.

Technique matters. 
 
Using precise, sterile tools and controlled pressure to target the impacted follicle without damaging the surrounding tissue matters.  
 
Knowing when to use a different means of extracting (with q-tips, or gauze wrapped around gloved fingers, or even lancets) and achieve the correct angle and depth matters.  
 
Properly prepping the skin to soften the stratum corneum (outer layer of skin) with steam, peels, enzymatic products, etc. to ensure extractions are effective matters.  
 
Restoring balance in the skin through aftercare to support the skin barrier, reduce inflammation, and lower the chance of reoccurring breakouts matters.  
 
Going to an esthetician who cares and is going to help take care of your skin?  
 
𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴.

For proper protection, you need 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬. 💭  
  
The most common hack used is the “two finger rule” (like you see above) - squeezing the sunscreen along the length of your index + middle fingers to give you the appropriate amount for your face and neck.   
  
Here’s the problem I have with this rule:  
You have to be applying HALF A TEASPOON everytime to get proper protection.   
  
Two thin lines? Mixing it with your moisturizer? Have sunscreen in your makeup so you don’t apply any before you put it on? Using the same amount as you use with your moisturizer?   
  
None of these = the amount you’re suppose to use, which means you’re not getting the protection you need to.   
  
All of this to say - the two finger rule can work if used correctly. Otherwise, learn how much 1/2 a tsp of your SPF is and follow that.   
  
Remember - the best sunscreen is the one you’ll use (I personally love the Daily SPF 30 Plus from ). 🫶🏻

𝘍𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯  
  
Love documenting the journey with the one + only — full regimen, bi-weekly to monthly treatments, skin-supporting supplements, and a whole lotta trust.  
  
Non-inflamed acne doesn’t always show up, but it does love to be stubborn. Now we’re finally out of the woods and focusing on that post-inflammatory erythema (PIE) + any leftover scarring.  
  
Huge props to this babe for riding out the purge phase like a champ and staying committed to the plan.🖤 It’s not for the weak but it IS always worth it.

Waxing doesn't have to be seasonal. It's doesn't have to be something you feel like you "should do" in order to fit a certain beauty standard.

It can be a lifestyle. However much hair you do or don't take off, it doesn't matter.

Waxing can be a tool used not only for you to do something small to prioritize yourself, but also to make you feel more comfortable in your own skin.

And whatever that looks like to you, I'm here to make it happen.

If you’re seeing this and you’re struggling with your skin, here’s what I want you to know:

I get acne is more than just pimples.

It’s dreading looking in the mirror.
It’s never wanting to leave the house without makeup on.
It’s immediately getting self conscious when someone looks at you.
It’s not wanting to leave the house because you don’t feel good in your own skin.
It’s getting frustrated when none of the products you’re using are working.
It’s starting to give up hope that your skin will never get better.

Acne, a lot of the time, can feel like it’s kicking your a*s. And believe me, society doesn’t make you feel any better about not having “glass skin”.

So first things first - you’re going to look in the mirror and tell yourself that your skin doesn’t define you, tell your acne to f*ck off, and then you’re going to call up your esthetician.

A new season is coming..  
 
AFTERGLOW is moving! ✨ 
 
Beginning this season with a new perspective on change and an open heart and mind to what it will bring. I’m incredibly grateful for what I’ve learned this far and am excited to continue to watch Afterglow grow.
