All of our soap recipes are free of petroleum, phthalates, sodium laurel sulfate, parabens, detergents, or any other harsh chemicals.These nasty chemicals and toxins are now finding their way into our eco-system. Every time that lather goes down the drain, those pollutants are going with it. A recent report by the UK's Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) revealed that synthetic chemicals from soap, body washes, shampoos and other healthcare products were sneaking through the filters at water purification plants. The list of offenders included phthalates, which are linked to reproductive disorders in both humans and animals, and parabens, a preservative, which links to cancer. Commercial bar 'soaps' are full of harsh chemicals and toxins that can include animal fats, alcohol, esters, detergents, wax, fillers and low grade oils that all can be very harsh on you and the environment.We only use high quality all natural oils. The main ingredient in our soap is olive oil. Known for it's great moisturizing benefits and also has anti bacterial properties. We use coconut and castor oils, which produce a rich creamy lather. They both have anti bacterial properties as well and are great cleansing agents. Palm oil is extremely moisturizing and very high in vitamins A and E and It can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Cocoa butter is extremely moisturizing and is an antioxidant. Jojoba oil promotes silky smooth skin. You will find all these wonderful oils in every bar of soap we make. We scent our bars of soap with phthalate free essential or fragrance oils.
