Thanks for the great online reviews everyone!
Highly recommended!
Todd Fiorentino is the owner of Energy Rising Massage Therapy. I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment with him. He was very professional and accommodating. The massage he provided was a nice balance of Swedish and Deep Tissue. A big plus: he was willing to travel to my house for an out call!
Had a great Reiki session with Sandra. The space is small and a bit stuffy, but the energy work was top notch. Was able to book a session same day short notice. Would recommend.
Decided to check out Energy Rising while visiting The Berkshires on vacation. Easy online scheduling; easy-to-find parking; and clean, welcoming massage studio located in downtown Pittsfield....
I had my first massage yesterday with Todd Fiorentino of Energy Rising in Pittsfield. It was terrific - he is very good, gives a terrific massage, i quite pleasant, clean environment. I will...

New guidelines outline how to handle back pain
American College of Physicians says try massage for back pain. Excerpt from article: “Some of these guidelines may be a shot across the bow to insurers to say that maybe we should be covering them better,” Atlas said. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/new-guidelines-how-to-handle-back-pain/

Hey, my last client said, "that was the best massage I've ever had," thanks so much!
I've been experimenting with water aerobics, trying to keep the shoulders loose, and I came up with a new move. Try this, I call it 'The Bike and The Bird.' You lay on your back in the pool, peddle your feet like a bike while sort of flapping your wings. Bring your arms from the side up over your head and then back down again. Keep your scapulae nice and flat against your back so you are getting good upward and downward rotation. Very freeing and helps with those stuck down scapulae! There's a lot of "concrete" in the shoulder area among my clients, so this should help.
Thanks to Lina who is helping us out with marketing projects this summer!

Hey, we've expanded our office, so why not come in for a couples massage?
Special thanks to our great therapists and clients for choosing Energy Rising this Valentine's weekend. With 24 appointments in the book, it promises to be a fantastic holiday!
Did you know, B&B's and inns from Williamstown to Great Barrington can try out our on-location massage service for one month without a contract? Give a call to learn more.
Another things people don't always realize about the resorts is that LMT's are often working 8-hour shifts. How would you like to be the fifth massage for a given therapist? The LMT is likely tired by that point. The depth of our team allows us to rotate appointments so you are always receiving treatments from a therapist who is fresh and not over-worked.
There is a perception that if you go to the large resorts in the Berkshires you will receive a superior massage. What clients often don't know is that many of the therapists working for the resorts, also work through small independents. You receive the same massage for a lower price. Try us out. We have therapists who hail from many of the luxury spas and resorts. Why pay extra? You're really paying for ambiance, not a superior service.
I hire an accountant to do my taxes. Could I do it myself? Sure, but I would likely make errors; I don't have the time to keep up with tax law changes; and I'm sure I would miss deductions. It's the same quandary spas, inns and resorts often face. If your focus is hair and nails or lodging, why not turn over spa services to a company that only focuses on this. It's our specialization, and what we do on a full time basis. We find experienced therapists; assess their skills and provide free skill-shares. We hold meetings on customer service and best practices. We talk about what's going on right and wrong in the field to improve. You have one contact person who is accountable and reachable at all times through multiple channels. Just think, our team of therapists can walk in to any spa or resort in the Berkshires and provide 95% of the services on their menus. So why go it alone?
Sometimes outsourcing is the way to go. We have spas in our network who have chosen to use our service because they looked at the time and energy they were spending recruiting, training, retaining, managing and coordinating massage therapists. It adds up. With our service, you are freed of the human resources aspects of hiring massage therapists. It's also great for the LMT's. Here's why: Most massage therapists don't want to be on-call because it kills their day. Unless you are a high volume resort, an experienced massage therapist typically won't come work for you because they don't want to hold a block of high value time and then not receive bookings. The Energy Rising system lets us fill in schedule gaps for LMT's without putting them on-call. It's a win-win.
What's so neat about the service offered by Energy Rising is that you don't need to be an expert on 'all things spa' to offer these services. We provide all of the consulting for free and give you a turnkey system for booking appointments. The result? A fantastic vacation experience for your guests.
If you are in the lodging business and want to realize spa profits while delighting your guests, give a call.
Energy Rising announces the opening of a new space for couples massage at 150 North St, Pittsfield on June 1st. Thanks to Bob Sykes for making this happen! We hope this will become a venue for teaching/training as well. If you want to learn basic massage to help out your partner, we can hold a workshop! If you're a new therapist starting out, maybe some training could help. We're open to suggestions on how to best use the space to benefit the community. Aside from couples massage, it's a nice studio for mat-work--Thai and assisted stretching.
Officially Booked: With 26 massage appointments in the books for Valentine's weekend, I'd say we are officially booked! Thanks so much to our clients for their flexibility on time, as we pieced together the schedules. And thanks in advance to a stellar group of LMT's who really take pride in their work and keep our clients first and foremost in their minds. Deep breath... and, let's get to work.
Hey, follow us on Twitter, easy to find:
Energy Rising now offers staffing for spas. Why deal with the hassles of human resources when you can write a simple contract with us? Therapists get sick, take vacations, have family matters to attend to and so on. This leaves you vulnerable and perhaps unable to cover appointments. Energy Rising is the largest massage therapist network in the Berkshires. Hire us and we will take care of the rest!
