I Lost 91 Pounds In 7 Months! If I Can Do It So Can You! Ask Me How....

It’s my birthday, so…

Yes, I had cake. Yes, I had ice cream too. But years ago, one cheat day would turn into a cheat week… then a cheat month… and before I knew it, I was right back in unhealthy habits.

This time was different.

I enjoyed my birthday, drank water, went for a walk, then hit the gym. Incline treadmill. Sweat. Weights. More water. Now it’s time for rest and recovery.

One day of celebrating will not destroy your progress. The key is discipline, balance, and getting right back on track.

Enjoy your birthday. Celebrate life. Just don’t quit on yourself afterward.

My body, my temple, you only get one.

You’re working out? Who cares?

Most people walk into the gym thinking everyone’s watching them. They’re not. Everyone is focused on themselves, their goals, their struggles, their progress. You’re not competing with anyone in that room. The only competition that matters is who you were yesterday. Did you show up? Did you get better? That’s the win.

My body, my temple, you only get one.

Healthy Starts in the Mind

My Body, My Temple

The journey to a healthier life does not begin in the gym.
It begins in the mind.

What we teach ourselves early, and what we teach our children, about discipline, nutrition, movement, and self respect shapes the life we build.

Health is not a trend.
It is a mindset.
It is a lifestyle.
It is stewardship.

I’m proud to officially be 80 pounds down and still pushing.

This transformation did not happen overnight.
It happened through discipline, faith, education, and daily commitment to becoming stronger in mind, body, and spirit.

If we want better lives, we must build better habits, starting young and leading by example.

My Body, My Temple. You Only Get One.

This didn’t start in the gym… it started in my mind.

I was losing pieces of myself—
Epilepsy. Memory fading. Confidence gone.
Over 330 pounds. Tired. Uncertain.

Then came brain surgery.

Afterward, I couldn’t even walk across the house.
Walker. Staples in my head. Every step hurt.

But I made a decision…
I was not going to fail.

I leaned on God. I claimed my healing.
And every day—I moved.

Today, I’m nearly 2 years seizure-free.
Down over 70 pounds.
Stronger. Sharper. Disciplined.

The real transformation?
Mind first. Body follows.

This is a lifestyle. Not a quick fix.

If I can do it… so can you.

My body. My temple. You only get one.

The Calorie Cheat Code: The 3 C’s to Burning Fat

Fat loss doesn’t have to be complicated. The real key is a caloric deficit, burning more calories than you consume over time. Consistent cardio and strength training help create that deficit, which not only burns fat but also helps reduce dangerous visceral fat surrounding your organs. This simple strategy helped me lose 70 pounds in about six months. It’s not about perfection. It’s about consistency.

“THE TRUTH”

I had the opportunity to talk with my Sensei, Mark Gallagher - AmeriKick, about the truth when it comes to mixed martial arts and physical fitness. Boxing and jiu jitsu are some of the most complete workouts you can do. It builds strength, endurance, discipline, and confidence at the same time, and I’m grateful and humbled to be able to learn from a great teacher.

If you’ve ever thought about training, this is your sign to start. For the best training, make sure you visit AmeriKick Martial Arts-Northeast Philly!

You can look good on the outside and still be in danger on the inside. Visceral fat is the fat that surrounds your organs. Your heart. Your liver. Your pancreas. It is linked to heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and chronic inflammation. You cannot spot reduce it with crunches. The only way to reduce visceral fat is by lowering overall body fat through strength training, consistent movement, reducing added sugars, eating whole foods, sleeping well, and managing stress. This is not about vanity. It is about longevity. Protect your engine. My body, my temple. You only get one.

I have something to confess.

This weekend I fell off. Ice cream, cake, all of it. But instead of beating myself up, I made a decision to rise up. I didn’t sit in guilt. I jumped into action. I drank a lot of water to rehydrate and flush my system. I moved my body. Not punishment, not extremes. Just movement to reset. A walk, a sweat, a reminder that progress isn’t about perfection, it’s about recovery. If probiotics are safe for you and approved by your doctor, supporting your gut health after heavy sugar can help too. What matters isn’t that you slip. What matters is how fast you stand back up. You don’t fix overeating with shame. You fix it with action. Hydrate. Move. Reset. Tomorrow is a new day and your body is still worth taking care of. My body, my temple.

Blizzard Outside. Discipline Inside.

Snow is here. More is coming. Being stuck inside is when most people binge eat and fall off.

Don’t.

Move your body. Squats. Wall pushups. Lunges. Planks. Walk the house. Ten minutes every hour beats zero.
Drink water first. Eat smaller meals. Choose fruit, nuts, yogurt, soups, lean protein. Keep junk out of sight.

Storms don’t have to add weight.
