💬 “She inspires volunteers to become leaders, encourages others to believe in themselves, and makes everyone feel like they belong.”

🎉 Congratulations to Viviannette Ortiz, Founder of Latinos Aventureros, a 2026 Women Who Rock Award recipient!

Viviannette’s nomination highlighted a leadership style rooted in service, compassion, and creating opportunities for others. 🌿 Through Latinos Aventureros, she has grown a small community effort into a movement that has connected thousands of Latino individuals and families with the outdoors.

In the past year alone, Latinos Aventureros brought more than 4,000 people outdoors, creating opportunities for connection, wellness, personal growth, and leadership. 🥾 Her work continues to expand access to outdoor experiences while building a community where people feel welcomed and empowered.

As her nominator shared, Viviannette is “proving that one person’s vision can create lasting change for an entire community.” 💜

📅 Join the GBA & Gaston EDC in celebrating Viviannette and all of our 2026 Women Who Rock Award recipients on September 30 from 3:00–5:00 PM at Gastonia Halls. Grab your tickets on the GBA website!
