Sun hat , sunscreen, and long sleeves😎
If you’ve been diagnosed with melanoma, your children have a higher chance of developing it too — roughly 2 to 3 times the average person’s risk.
Because of this, we recommend bringing them in for a full skin check, and then repeating that annually.
Catching melanoma early makes a HUGE difference in outcomes, and kids who grow up knowing their skin are also more likely to practice good sun protection habits.
In the meantime, teach them the ABCDEs of melanoma and make sure they’re wearing sunscreen EVERY day.
