List of Services:
-Orthopedic Therapy - Orthotherapy is a manual therapy system designed to treat the muscles and skeletal system using various "hands on" Bodywork Therapy and mobilization (not chiropractic manipulation) techniques as well as home stretching and strengthening exercises. This assists in maintaining functional alignment of the skeletal system. Techniques used include structural integration, rehabilitative exercise, visceral manipulation, myoskeletal, fascial stretching and other means of soft tissue therapies. These avenues of treatment loosely fall under the field of bio-mechanics and don't just work on muscles, bones, and joints, but also and more importantly your connective tissue, which can lead to pain and postural distortions in your body. (60 min-$60, Pk of 2-$110, Pk of 4-$200)
-Relaxation Massage - Just as the name implies, this is the perfect modality to relieve the stress and tightness caused by your hectic life so that you can return to your schedule refreshed and rejuvenated. Blending Swedish and circulatory massage strokes, I gently knead your muscles to increase flexibility, stimulate circulation, and promote relaxation. (60 min-$40, Pk of 2-$70, Pk of 4-$120)
-Clinical Massage - Typical goals include reducing pain, increasing range of motion, improving posture and reducing fluid retention (edema). Clinical massage might be prescribed by a doctor and covered by insurance. Treatment is planned to target the client’s specific problem and may treat the whole body but generally focuses on one problem area. Examples: Deep tissue, Trigger point, Neuromuscular, IASTM, Cupping, Myofascial release. (60 min-$50, Pk of 2-$90, Pk of 4-$160)
-Sports massage is different than the clinical or relaxation massage you might be used to receiving. Sports massage is usually performed on a client dressed in loose clothing and involves applying therapeutic massage and stretching to assist an athlete’s performance or speed recovery from an activity. The type of sports massage you receive is based on your goal and when you get your massage in relation to the event. (60 min-$50, Pk of 2-$90, Pk of 4-$160)
-Pre-Event massage is usually 10-30 minutes long and generally happens the day of and prior to the event. The focus is on preparation for high-intensity activity not to correct dysfunction or reduce stress. Therapists will use compression, kneading, ROM & active stretching, vibration and tapotement–all performed at an “up-tempo” pace. Remember, the goal is get the athlete AMPED UP.
-Inter-Event massage can happen between events happening on the same day. Similar to pre-event massage, it’s fast-paced and typically no more than 10 minutes.
-Post-Event massage happens after the event, usually within 72 hours. It’s focused on recovery, increasing circulation, reducing muscle tension and overall calming the athlete. Therapists use effleurage (stroking), petrissage (kneading), broadening compression, joint mobilization, and assisted stretching. No deep tissue work, muscles need to recover more before that happens. Sessions are usually 30-45 minutes plus assessment & aftercare counseling.
-Maintenance massage is a regular clinical massage and happens during the training program. It’s typically 60-90 minutes focused on paying attention to rehabilitation and/or chronic issues, like that frozen shoulder or crazy sore calves. It’s an opportunity to deal with both biomechanical issues and overload (or training errors). This is where deep-tissue & targeted Swedish massage, stretches, friction and trigger point work are appropriate.
-Assisted Stretching - Also known as partner stretching is a type of stretching where another person, or partner, is used to help further stretch the muscles. (60 min-$40, Pk of 2-$70, Pk of 4-$120)
-Resistance Stretching - Resistance Stretching’s unique approach builds flexibility and strength at the same time and helps remove lactic acid. Athletes use it before a run to loosen up, or after to reduce stiffness and tension. (60 min-$50, Pk of 2-$90, Pk of 4-$160)
