I am so excited that I can now show people how effective tuning fork therapy really is and how just 30 seconds can make such a huge difference in our lives.

​Think of the human body like a musical instrument. When we experience severe stress or deep grief, our natural energy and nervous system go "out of tune." Tuning forks act like a cosmic pitch pipe. I have a lot of changes coming right up in my life, so I am giving my customers, friends and family a notice now. As of May 31st 2026 is my tentative date but it may be moved forward. My Crystal Club will be moving from 11411 S Fortuna Rd Store to selling online and also selling from my private Casita on my property in the Foothills for my customers who want to to buy my crystals and still use my services.

This decision is being made mainly, due to health issues and needing a hip replacement and back surgery. I need to make things easier in my life. My body just can't keep up the pace anymore.

I also have some other new ideas coming in. I will be doing aura Camera readings for people along with energy work in the near future. I'm going to take this time to study some new gifts I am interested in learning more about as well. I have a very gifted and experienced healer who has offered to help train me. We are also starting an online venture that will offer tutorials and live instruction from many very talented and gufted people I have met during my time here in Yuma.

I have a nice studio to use for these new ventures and a beautiful back yard to do classes and events. I am looking forward to be able to offer different classes for everyone.

On the bright side, we have a new store owner coming into the space at the 11411S Fortuna Rd location.

The new owner will be keeping some things the same but will be changing other things to make the store her own.

She will be changing the name.. soon to be announced. She has new services to offer the Foothills and Yuma community.

This is going to be a good fit going forward.

This has been such a gift to open and run the My Crystal Club stores.

Meeting new people and helping those I have helped along this journey. I have learned so much during this time . I thank all of you for keeping my stores going the last 7 years.

I guess it is bring your dog to work day today. This is Snowball and he just lost his big sister Siri on Sunday. Snowball has never been alone without his sister. I left him at home this morning with puppy TV but I was watching him on video. He howled and cried for 3 hours and broke my heart. I went home and picked him up. Animals grieve just like we do. I am praying he can get used to being alone.. but it is too soon for that today. Poor little guy.

I write this article based on watching my 70 year old friend ending up homeless after a break-up. I stepped up to help her 3 months ago when her family did not. Unfortunately, the abuser lives right close to me so staying away from each other wasn't happening. The situation became volatile and almost deadly Sunday night

​Elder abuse is a silent epidemic, often happening in plain sight but hidden behind a polite facade. It can be perpetrated by a partner or a child, but regardless of who the abuser is, the victims face an uphill battle to escape. They are often trapped not just by circumstance, but by years of psychological manipulation.
​Breaking free is incredibly difficult because abusers use a series of powerful tactics to maintain control.

​Codependency and Loss of Self: Over decades, a victim's sense of self is eroded. Their self-worth becomes tied to keeping the abuser happy, making them feel like they have no identity or purpose outside of the relationship.

​The Caregiver Trap: The victim is often the primary caregiver for the abuser, who may have health issues or addiction. This creates a cruel paradox: the abused person feels an immense responsibility to care for the very person who is harming them.

​Memories and Guilt: Victims often hold onto memories of a "good" person they once knew, hoping that person will return and the abuse will disappear. This hope is exploited by the abuser, who might also use threats of self-harm or harm to others to stop the victim from leaving.

​Financial and Social Isolation: Abusers intentionally cut their victims off from family and friends, ensuring they have no one to turn to for help. They also control bank accounts and access to transportation, making it nearly impossible for the victim to start over on their own.

​For an elderly person, the fear of homelessness and destitution is a very real, paralyzing force. They may believe they are too old, too frail, or simply unable to survive on their own.

As a community of seniors. we need to pay more attention to things going on around us too.

​Breaking this cycle requires more than just telling a person to leave. It requires compassionate and specialized support from family, friends, and community organizations who understand the unique psychological and practical barriers that
elderly victims face.
