Water will always be your number one source of moisture! That’s why with curly hair you always want to apply your products to soaking wet hair.
I also find that if your are using a quality conditioner, I use you don’t need to use any leave in conditioners, butters, or creams. This can lead to product buildup over time.
When you lock in the moisture with only gel, you will get a much longer lasting style.
