Meet ma! My mom had a surgery recently with an 8 month healing period during which she has limited mobility, making hair care difficult. I'm so happy that I am able to help her in this regard, and although don't typically celebrate holidays I would love to take a moment to celebrate this woman.

Choosing a loctician can be a tough decision. Knowing the tools and methods they use is an important part of the loc journey. So with that in mind, I've shown here how I work on a loc. I know the names are cheesy, but I had to call them something for reference so bear with me.

Wrap'n'roll - my go to method, and like the name says I roll the hair and loc in the same direction while wrapping the hair around the shaft (lawl).

Pull'n'twist - this method I use on more mature areas of the loc, and to tuck in frizz with more control to avoid piercing through the center of the mature loc with the crochet hook.

I alternate a lot between the two, even on one loc.
