✨ Every step I take to expand Cosmo is done strategically and deliberately. Which also means that there is a lot of doubt, fear, anxiety, imposter syndrome, etc. etc. 🙈.
Lately, with all the big leaps I’m making, I often feel ready to say we have done enough. Our message is being spread far and wide, our website is getting a high number of views each day, our wigs are finding their match, what more do we need to do? But then I remind myself that Cosmo has tapped into a place that no one has ever gone before in the wig industry and we’re going to take this mission all the way.
We are going to keep investing in changing the way you perceive wig buying, the way you shop for wigs and the way you handle yourself in those situations until you have a beautiful wig that you love for years to come 🤍

✨Hi, I’m Bassy and I believe that we shouldn’t purchase anything without being well researched on the product or service.
For some reason, in the wig world, it has become acceptable to “buy now and ask questions later”. The problem is, that later is usually too late. Once the purchase is made, or the work is done, it’s not likely that there is much room to correct.
So, ask your questions. Investigate red flags. Identify what’s making you uncomfortable. Get multiple quotes to make sure you are getting a fair price. Square out ALL of the details of the transaction and clearly identify what you are getting with your purchase.
And of course, the more dignity and integrity you bring to the transaction, the more likely you are to receive it back.

Social media has felt very polarized for me lately. I find that things are either super heavy (with the exception of the amazing therapists who are trying to integrate mental health education into our feeds, heyyy ) and serious or super light and very material focused.
I don’t think I’m unique when I say that my life doesn’t quite work that way. I swim through each day with some small wins, small fails, moments of triumph, moments of deep fears, healing, struggling, hustling, resting and so. much. more.
Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the polarization and I take a break from social media. I find that by the time I decide to take a break, it’s usually too late. I’m often already too burnt out at that point and should have taken action when the feelings of heaviness set in.
I am deeply passionate about my work at Cosmo and I can’t see myself walking away from this epic community. That being said, I need this space to feel authentic and real for me. I continue to produce content because Cosmo needs it. We need it. But me, Bassy, I also need this space to
be more than wigs (even though I think what we’re doing here is truly significant).
If the polarization continues, I will struggle to continue to show up here. If we can shift this space into a more real, authentic space where all feelings happen, I would feel so much more at home.
I want this to be a place we all feel like we are at home. Hit today’s stories and let me know what ideas you have that we could use to infuse this page with a
small dose of reality.
In the meantime, I will be using the “Close Friends” group as a space that we can share and connect in the ways that we all need. DM to join 🤍.
