Hairfall is a natural phenomenon, we all lose about 50-100 strands of hair daily. Since we curlies do not brush our hair, we lose most of our hair on the washday which is completely normal.

There are various tips and tricks to reduce hairfall and make our hair grow faster as mentioned in the post.

If you put in effort on your washday, it tends to stay longer. This is how my washweek progressed. I didn’t refresh and my week went well.

I used:
shampoo, conditioner and all in one
deep conditioner and gel

The Big Chop!
Are you transitioning back to your curls? Then I would recommend you to get a big chop.

A big chop as the name suggests is cutting off your treated or damaged hair in order to give your curls or healthier hair a chance to grow.

We get a big chop so that the treated hair do not weigh down our hair and it is easier to maintain one kind of hair. The products also give better results which gives us the confidence that we made the right decision to move back to our natural hair.

I know it is a big decision for anyone to go for a big chop since we feel we won’t be able to carry the look but believe me it is worth it when you see your natural hair and you see the products work on your hair.

I myself delayed the big chop for a very long time but when I did it I realized how beautiful my natural hair is. Before the big chop I was always second guessing myself into moving back to curls and once or twice thought of rebonding my hair again but after the big chop and looking at how fabulous my hair look I was sold.

So if anyone is thinking of a big chop my suggestion is go for it. There are only good things in store after that.

I started my hair journey 4 months back! I had always hated my hair because I just didn’t know how to get rid of the frizz, I either rebonded them or tied them in a pony. I used to comb them, tie them, wash them with sulphates and silicones thinking it was the only way to do it. Until I realised I was totally and completely wrong. Curls and coils need extra care and protection, and are not the same as straight hair. They are a different form of hair all together and the so called rules don’t apply to my hair. That is when I realised that so many people around me are making the same mistake as I am. From then on I decided that I need to learn and educate all the men and women who have textured hair on how to take care of your lovely locks. So from today onwards I will be posting all I have learnt and would be learning in the future about textured hair. 👩‍🦱
