Making 10k/month is easy and I’ll show you how with my course for solo estheticians Profit on Purpose Hi!

I’m Jessica Rom, a veteran esthetician with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. My mission is to support solo estheticians in creating a purposeful business that provide a happy, healthy, rich, and rested lifestyle.

THE SUN IS DIRECTLY IN MY EYEBALLS.

I do not care. This update couldn’t wait for better lighting.

SHE HAS WALLS. WINDOWS. DOORS. A ROOF. LOOK AT HER.

While this backyard studio has been going up, something else has been getting clearer too.

I’ve been asking myself how I actually want to work.

I don’t think the answer is being available to everyone all the time. That’s not sustainable, and it doesn’t actually help people the way I want it to.

What does help is using what I’m good at, where it actually makes a difference.

I’m good at seeing people. What they’re capable of, what their work wants to become, and what’s getting in the way. I can spot the patterns, name what’s happening, and show the path forward.

Solo esthetics is where I start because I know this industry inside and out. I help solo estheticians get clear on what they do best, build stronger businesses, and create work that actually supports both them and their clients.

So the next version of my business is going to look different. Less constant access. More resources people can actually use—filmed facials, real examples, deeper conversations, business breakdowns, writing, and tools that hold up without me being there.

And a very limited number of high-level private sessions for people who are ready to do serious work—where my full attention can create real, measurable change.

This studio is where that work becomes real. Where ideas turn into something you can see, use, and build from. Where I get to do the kind of work that actually moves things forward.

It’s being built in my California backyard garden, while the business itself is taking shape inside me.

Both are unfinished. Both are becoming.

And neither of them was waiting for perfect conditions. 💛

My 45th birthday trip felt like a deep exhale.

Not because everything suddenly changed…

But because I could finally see where all these years have been leading.

I spent a few days with people who remind me who I am when I’m at my best. I watched brilliance in action. I had conversations that stretched late into the evening. I celebrated another trip around the sun. And from hundreds of miles away, I watched the walls of my backyard studio rise, one day at a time.

Something settled inside me.

I know what I’m creating now.

I’m returning to YouTube to document the estheticians, ideas, treatments, spaces, and emerging ways of working that are shaping the future of this industry.

I’m interested in people who have developed something extraordinary through years of attention and practice… especially when their work is difficult to explain, categorize, or package neatly for the internet.

Because that is where I am most useful.

I see people deeply. I can often see the full body of work before they have language for it. I see the larger pattern, the future it could become, and the roadblocks standing between the person and that possibility.

I can point to the mountain. I can help draw the map. The climb still belongs to them.

I got to do exactly that with Hope this weekend… experience her work, ask questions, connect ideas, and begin documenting something I believe deserves to be seen and understood.

And it was so much fun.

That may be the clearest sign that I’m headed in the right direction.

So consider this my friendly re-entry into Instagram. A little wave from the other side of a long, strange, necessary season.

I’m still here. My work is evolving. My studio is becoming real. And I’m very excited to show you what I see next. 💛

Tea, notebook, and me actually sitting down and paying attention.

Jotting notes, asking questions, getting back into it slowly and on purpose. It’s been a while since I’ve been in the treatment room, and there’s something really grounding about coming back to it this way. No rush. Just remembering what I already know and letting it come back.

Outside, under that tarp, is the studio space I’m building this weekend. I keep looking out there and smiling. It’s everything I ever wanted. It’s intentional. I’m building something that actually fits me this time.

I’m starting with a handful of clients. People I can really focus on, take my time with, and document properly. The kind of work I’ve always cared about but didn’t always have space for. Coming soon to YouTube.

Going back to my roots feels so natural. Using again, simplifying things, giving the skin what it actually needs. It’s reminded me how much I love this work when it just… makes sense.

Same with bringing technology back in. (I 💙 .official ) It doesn’t take away from the connection for me, it deepens it in a different way. It’s more about paying attention, being present, and working with intention instead of force.

Everything about this feels quieter, simpler, and more honest than the way I’ve done it before.

And I think that’s why it feels so right.

💛

Happy 4/20!

I got my esthetics license on March 17th, 2004.

Which means… this industry and I have been in a 22-year relationship.

So yeah, you could say I believe in luck 🍀

But here’s what I’ve learned after thousands of faces, treatments, mistakes, breakthroughs, and “wait… why is your skin doing that?” moments:

Good skin isn’t luck.

And finding the right esthetician?
That’s not luck either.

It’s alignment.
It’s experience.
It’s someone who actually understands what they’re looking at when your skin starts acting… mysterious.

This little post is for fun—but also not really.

Because the way you show up as an esthetician?
Your personality, your instincts, your approach?

That’s the “magic” your clients feel.

So if you’re an esthetician reading this…
go ahead, share your sign.

Your clients already know they’re lucky.

You can just confirm it 😉

I’ve been a solo esthetician for over 20 years.

In that time I built and ran a successful day spa, trained estheticians, created online education, and generated millions of dollars in this industry doing work I genuinely love.

But something I realized along the way is this:

Being a great esthetician isn’t enough.

What actually determines your success is your ability to design your career.

How many hours you work.
How much you earn.
What kind of clients you attract.
What your treatment philosophy is.
And what kind of life your business actually supports.

Most estheticians are never taught how to think about those things.

We’re taught how to treat skin… and then we’re expected to figure out the rest ourselves.

Over time I realized there isn’t just one path in this industry.

There are many.

Lifestyle practices.
High-volume treatment rooms.
Education businesses.
Product lines.
Multi-location spas.

The real skill is learning how to map your own path intentionally.

That’s the work I do now.

I help solo estheticians map their careers and build sustainable businesses that support their life, energy, and income.

At the same time, I’m returning to the treatment room and documenting the process.

Partly because I missed the work.

But mostly because mastery matters.

If you’re going to teach this industry, you should still be practicing in it.

So you’ll see a lot of skin transformations here — real clients, real treatment philosophy, and the thinking behind every decision.

Because when you understand the thinking behind the work, you can apply it to your own path.

And when that happens…

Success looks good on you, too.

If one of those slides hit a nerve—good.
That’s the moment you stop spinning and start seeing.

Every business hits friction.
It’s not failure, it’s a signal.

But most people get stuck in the same loop: overworking, overthinking, or over-giving instead of evolving.

That’s exactly what we work on inside The Success Collective—
how to recognize the pattern that’s been running your business
and learn the tools to move through it with focus, clarity, and calm.

Next Monday we’re breaking down:
→ how to spot your block before it burns you out
→ how to turn awareness into aligned action
→ how to rebuild systems that actually support growth

The Success Collective is where real change happens—
not because you push harder, but because you stop doing it alone.

Drop your sign below so I can see who’s here. 👋🏻

If you’re ready to shift from “stuck” to growing again,
DM me or comment TSC & I’ll send you the details for Monday’s session.
