Hello hello! If you're in the Alexandria, MN area on Saturday January 4th, I'll be doing henna at ArtisTree Cafe Community and Event Center for walk-ins starting at 3 pm! Minimum price $15. Find a reference/inspiration of what you'd like to have me do for you, or go with Artist's Choice and be surprised! Bring an art project to work on at the cafe, or find one there (just in case there's a line). Vegan food options available.

Congress is looking at making $30 billion in cuts to SNAP benefits, which provides low income families with supplemental food benefits to help keep them from going hungry. In addition, it's also been proposed to make $500 million in cuts to Summer EBT, which provides grocery benefits to CHILDREN in low income families during the summer, when they can't get breakfast or lunch at school.

The Republicans pushing this proposal say they want to do all this to cut costs, but the reality seems to be that they’re focused on protecting the huge tax cuts they’ve passed for billionaires and corporations, so they’re finding other ways to shrink the budget. I'm not meaning this as a jab at Republicans, I'm just saying there are other ways of cutting the budget.

Help protect families and kids in this country from going hungry. Sign the petition and share it. It's getting close to the amount of signatures needed. YOU can make a difference here.

Hello hello! I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting summer and short sleeves weather so you can get your henna fix. Unfortunately, I will not be able to provide henna this summer due to health reasons. I hope you are able to find someone who provides you with great service and natural henna that leaves a fantastic stain. But please, don't forget to come back to me next year. I love everyone I serve, I love getting to meet people, I love getting to see your smiles and create something beautiful for you. I am so disappointed that I will not be able to create body art for you this year, but sometimes we have to remember to prioritize self-care. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this journey and to those who will eagerly await my return.

Some of you know that I struggle with mental health issues, along with chronic physical illness and chronic pain. This year, all of them have been flaring. I have been trying new medication, and had two surgeries. There have been hospitalizations, crisis centers for mental health, and numerous ER visits. This is not how I want my summer to be. I would much rather be passionately providing henna for my community and giving glitter tattoos to anyone who needs some sparkle in their life. However, like I said, self-care has to come first. I am getting treatment for both my physical health issues and my mental health, the timing of which interferes with basically all of the summer events at which I would be able to provide henna.

My mother has had thoughts of trying it out on her own, so I may take the time to teach her how to make henna and make it right. That, or I will point her in the right direction on where to purchase cones that are safe to use and that I trust. I appreciate everyone who has supported me, everyone who has contributed to my henna journey. Thank you for understanding, and I will see you next year.

Had so much fun at Art in the Park today in Alexandria, MN! We'll back back tomorrow, so stop by if you're in the area!

Who else is excited for Art in the Park 2023?? My mom and I are all set and ready to go! Our booth is gonna be right by the road at Alexandria City Park, and, new this year, we have glitter tattoos!! I'm so excited to be able to offer this fun option as an alternative to henna designs! Choose from a wide range of stencils or request a custom design! Stencils start at $3 for one color, and custom designs start at $10!

Had a great time doing henna at New Life Christian Church's women's retreat last Friday! I'm honored to do henna for them every year.

Coming up on May 13th, I'll be at Customer Appreciation Day from 1-6 pm.

Testing paste for a women's retreat on Friday! My 6 year old requested a shark and a lion. I think they turned out pretty well!
