Sharing a few random facts about me 💕

•I’m the baby of 3 kids
•I’m 20 years younger than my sister & 12 years younger than my brother
•I was an aunt when I was 3 years old
•My niece and I we’re basically like sisters
•I’m afraid of thunder and lightning ⚡️
•I love tacos, sushi & coffee
•I’m happiest in sunshine & warmth
•I started college as an deaf education major
•I wanted to be a nurse but the school I wanted to go to didn’t have a nursing program
•Life happened, I didn’t graduate as an education major but I went back to school as a young mom for nursing
•I have 2 associates degrees & 1 bachelors degree
•I have been a med-surgical nurse, pediatric, hospice, school and now an insurance review nurse.
•I am a 2x cancer survivor
•My husband & I went to high school together but didn’t talk or date till college
•I may have tried to steal a street sign with my husband’s last name before we started dating 🤔😂
•My husband and I were divorced for a year and remarried on the same date we married
•I have 2 kids, daughter & son and 2 grandchildren 💙💗
•My life now revolves around those grandbabies
•I have traveled to Mexico, Dominican, Ireland & other Caribbean spots & many US states
•I don’t like doing things alone… grocery shopping especially
•I hate emptying the dishwasher and folding clothes from the dryer
•My great uncle started the Harlem Globetrotters (don’t know who they are? Google it)
•I played Monopoly one sunny CA afternoon with Adam Rich (yes, Eight is Enough, just passed away 🥲)

We were not always this couple.
We knew each other from high school.
We started dating in college.
Married at 23
First baby at 24
Second baby at 27

And you know what happens.
Life!

We focused on our kids
We focused on our jobs
We focused on our family

BUT, we didn’t focus on US 💔

We didn’t communicate well
We assumed A LOT
We took each other for granted
We broke

We separated & divorced 😭
WE didn’t only divorce
Our kids were affected
Our families were affected
Our friends were affected

It was a bullseye effect that spread wider than we realized

Faith, growth and an understanding of how to be in a healthy relationship brought us back together

We dated
We appreciated
We communicated
We accepted
We forgave
We worked
We remarried ❤️

It took us a bit to get to where we are now. It wasn’t easy but it was so worth it. We are not perfect. We still make mistakes but we recognize them and do better, every.single.day! We actually love spending time together. Doing anything … shopping, cooking (let’s face it, he cooks, I eat 😂), holding hands, watching movies, cheering each other’s good days and supporting each other’s bad days.

We are who we are today because of our rocky road. I don’t regret that road, it made us who were are today but I’m sorry that others were hurt in the process.

Thankful for this life and this man ❤️

.....money is like oxygen. We have to have it to live. Things are expensive. Like the normal things:

The mortgage.
The car....usually more than one.
The insurance.
The private school.
Sports.
Kids going to college?
Kids getting married?
Kids, kids & kids

ALL OF THAT cost MONEY!

And even the REALLY GREAT THINGS, like:

The giving/offering.
The adoption.
The mission trip.
The charity we LOVE.
Those in need.
Family vacations/making memories!

Those require money, too.
