You hear it all the time; if you’re (insert certain age), don’t wear this or don’t do that! You know me! I wear and do whatever I enjoy…and that’s the way it should be! BUT…sometimes it can be confusing to know what you like if you’re not experienced in makeup. At this point, ignore your age and disregard what you enjoy and listen to your face. Do you have a downturned eye? Place shadow in a way that lifts the eye. You have oily skin. Use a primer and possibly a powder foundation to absorb your oils. If you have blue eyes, play with coppers and golds to amplify them. If this all still sounds confusing, book a makeup lesson and I’ll show you how to work with your specific features.
Happy Birthday Dioné! Today Dioné turns 12. I have worked so hard to follow my dreams and passions and have accomplished so much. These few photos a but a small glimpse of the amazing things myself and my company have accomplished over the last 12 years. From growing Dioné across Canada with strong, focused and independent women, to traveling to BC and Toronto for the IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show), to speaking to the PM about mental health for entrepreneurs to meeting major celebrities at the @dpa_lounges gifting suites in Los Angeles; from getting my teaching license to obtaining my cosmetic chemist degree; from raising money for our local non-profits to creating custom products, I have followed my truth and some day, Dioné will be a global brand!
