Today I want to talk to you about this Purifying Charcoal Mask from Merkai Beauty. I’m thankful that they chose to send this mask to me to review ahead of their launch (11/12/20).

The texture (swipe ⬅️) on this mask is nice and smooth and is unscented once applied to your face. It’s very easy to apply and is comfortable on your skin.

Once removed, my skin was left feeling nice and smooth. My pores were definitely less noticeable and overall my skin was brighter and healthier looking. All in all, this is a great mask that is gentle on your skin and great for all skin types. I would recommend using this mask 1-2 times a week.

It’s time for another brand spotlight, today’s featured brand is Lumene USA.

I was generously gifted a few of these products to share with you all, so let’s get to it!

🍊[Valo] Nordic-C Day Moisturizer SPF 15: This product is good for all skin types. I love that it contains Vitamin C and SPF (these both work really well when paired together). The moisturizer has a light orange scent and the texture is like a lotion consistency. It’s lightweight and absorbs very well into your skin.

🍊[Valo] Nordic-C Glow Boost Essence: This product is also good for all skin types and it also contains Vitamin C. This product has a stronger orange scent to it (that I personally love). Like the product’s name, it gave an instant glow to my skin after applying it. This definitely is becoming one of my favorite essences.

🍊Instant Glow Fresh Skin Tint (Universal Medium): Good for all skin types. This is perfect for those that don’t like to wear foundation, but just want that “your skin, but better look.” This product is available in 4 shades.

🍊Overnight Bright Sleeping Cream: Good for all skin types and contains Vitamin C. The scent is similar to the moisturizer, but the texture is slightly thicker. It’s lightweight in your skin and does a great job of keeping your skin hydrated overnight. You’ll wake up with bright and refreshed looking skin.

Radiant Glow Advanced Vitamin C Serum by Instagram.com/sevenlovebeauty is magical.

First off, it is made of natural ingredients, such as vitamin E, licorice root extract, ferulic acid, and turmeric which improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation, dark spots, uneven skin tone, aging, fine lines, and wrinkles leaving your skin brighter, fresher, and more luminous.

I have been using this serum for a few weeks now, and I have noticed that my skin looks fresher and my skin more even toned. This is definitely a serum I would reach for often.

Something to keep in mind, this is not unscented (it has a bit of an earthy/herbal scent to it). Therefore, if you are sensitive to fragrance or scents in your skincare, this may not be for you. However, the scent does not linger in your skin and does dissipate fairly quickly.

Let’s talk natural and handmade soaps 🧼

Instagram.com/bright.orange.creations generously gifted me these beautiful soaps and body creams.

Made here in the USA, they produce in small batches these beautiful soaps and smooth body creams with natural and sustainable ingredients. Currently the brand is looking for ways to reduce their plastic waste, so they are testing out new eco-friendly packaging. I find this really
commendable and I definitely believe we should all try and find ways to reduce waste! ♻️

The soaps come in a variety of designs and scents. Each one is more beautiful than the next. My favorites from the group are definitely the black cherry rose and the tropical punch oval soap. Both scents are really great (as are the rest of the soaps as well)! They even produce masculine scented soaps, which my husband is also enjoying (the blue soap, called “Midnight Waters”).

The body creams are both smooth and super moisturizing! They sent me lemongrass and black cherry. Both of these also smell really great, but if I had to choose one, I would pick the black cherry!

The body creams also come in the below scents:

It’s been awhile since I did a makeup look 💄

This look was inspired by the holiday season that will be here before we know it. I also received some new products that I have been itching to try out.

On my eyes, I used Too Faced Cosmetics Sweet Peach Palette and Roasted Chestnut Creme Eyeshadow by Laurenbrookecosmetiques (outer lid). This creme shadow packs a serious punch. It’s easy to apply and blends nicely with other shadows. I also did a wear test, and after 12 hours my eyes still looked great. What’s even better is this eyeshadow is organic!

The highlighter I used is from Instagram.com/heartdbeauty. This is also a clean makeup product. The highlighter is a liquid and blends easily into your skin. It’s also buildable, so perfect if you want just a light touch or a more dramatic touch.

The lipstick is Starwoman by NARS Cosmetics. This liquid lip packs a serious punch and is a very comfortable liquid lipstick formula. It does not crack at all.

I know some people prefer to purchase their skincare as a set instead of trying to find products individually. Well, today I have a great skincare trio to talk to you about.

This is a great set for those that want to follow a simple skincare routine. These products are organic and vegan, so they are made from safe ingredients which is really important. They all have a scent to them; with the moisturizer having the mildest scent to it. So if you are someone sensitive to fragrance or scents in your products, these may not be a good fit for you.

I lean towards combination when it comes to my skin type and I did not find that these products left a greasy residue whatsoever on my skin. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice they made my skin look after use. I tried them as the set and I also then tried them separately into my current skincare routine.

What’s also great is you don’t have to purchase these as a set if you don’t want to. You can purchase any of these items individually.
