According to Scott Hensley (professor of microbiology at Univ of Pennsylvania), the flu vaccine this year is a "major mismatch" for the widely circulating strains. No better time to up your natural protection with doses of elderberry. Elderberry has been scientifically proven to target the enzyme neuraminidase. This enzyme helps the flu virus enter healthy cells and begin replicating. Elderberry, by targeting this enzyme, prevents the flu virus from replicating.
