I have come to realize truly how much I NEED the effects of a good sweat session.
I NEED the endorphins.
I NEED the challenge.
I NEED the humility.
I NEED confidence.
I NEED the strength.
I NEED the clarity.
I NEED the perspective.
Starting my morning out this way puts a positive spin on the entire rest of my day. I’m truly a better version of myself when I can take care of me first and get mentally prepared for what the rest of the day may bring.
It’s so easy to feel mom guilt for taking time for yourself. Or let the to do list or everyone else’s needs take over the schedule. I struggle with these things too! But I can tell you the benefits of my 20-30 min workouts last much longer than that. I promise if you can learn to make YOU a priority it will be so worth it! You will see your personal happiness spill over into the other areas of your life! 😊💜.

I just want to share a little secret with you guys... we are not perfect, we’re human too!😜
Although we eat healthy most of the time, yes we still enjoy treats and eating out. 🍕 🍿🍦🍔🍟
I’m so grateful for these nutrition programs. I have learned so much and helped our entire family, kids included eat healthier while still enjoying our favorite treats and not feeling guilty about them. The mindset part is HUGE!
I am all about finding a sustainable lifestyle instead of a restrictive “diet” that you’ll give up on within the first week. What’s the point of that!? A couple weeks ago We finished!!! 😊
It took us more days than the original plan, we got sick during it. And that’s life. Circumstances are never going to be perfect. But as long as we are moving forward,no matter the pace, that’s what counts! 👍🏼😊
Sure we lost a little weight and a few inches but I feel like sometimes we focus too heavily on that aspect.
I want to focus on what we GAINED! We gained strength, confidence, the mindset to push through hard things, endurance, the list goes on but most of all HAPPINESS! 😊
Isn’t that what life is about is being happy!?

Simple tip... out of sight out of mind.
This isn’t some new concept but its a simple way to help you stay on track. 😊 I’ve noticed this lately in our house. Whatever is easily accessible is what we munch on whether we’re hungry or not or whether we really want it or not. It’s visible and easy to grab as you walk by so naturally that’s what happens.
We’ve been Putting the temptations away (or not buying them to begin with)and im amazed at how much less we actually reach for them.👍🏼
Then set out some healthy, yummy, colorful alternatives. 😊🍎🍐🍇🍌 and enjoy!
In January I finished my certification for the nutrition program that I love that focuses on creating a healthy mindset and relationship with food as well as a wealth of knowledge on what foods to shop for and the healthiest ways to prepare them.
I’m also working on my certification for another great nutrition program that focuses on learning the correct portions of each food group based on what goals you are trying to reach!

Today we finished week 2, the 1st phase aka the COMMIT phase! And I got to add my first sticker to my step! 😊 Sometimes committing is the hardest part....
Jan 2018, I committed to make my health and happiness a priority! Has it been easy? No, change is flippin hard! But I’ve found that as you commit to something and consistently make it part of your routine it becomes a habit, a habit you don’t have to really think about any more. It becomes a way of life, something that you crave and miss on the days when it doesn’t happen.
I love the way I feel, the way my mind has grown, and the many ways it has so positively effected my family’s life! I’m stickin to it! 😉
Transforming isn’t easy, but has it been worth it? A thousand times YES!!! If I could change one thing I wish I would have started sooner! Don’t wait for the perfect timing, enjoy life now!

I dreamed of theses days growing up and I swear they never happened. 🤷🏽‍♀️
We made pancakes, and muffins. We played in the snow, read books, watched movies, played with toys, rode scooters inside, and cuddled under blankets! Today I am so grateful that I can be home and enjoy days like these with my boys. 💜💚💙
I soaked up every minute with them while they were awake and then was able to connect with other ladies and pursue another passion of mine while they napped all from the comfort (and warmth ha) of my own cozy home! I feel blessed and I love the life we are creating together!

On Wednesday I had the awesome opportunity to go to the Rachel Hollis movie Made For More Encore with my Grams! It did not disappoint! If you aren’t already following Rachel Hollis or haven’t read any of her books, go do it now!
I loved this little boost of motivation to help start the new year off right and get a good game plan of how to set and accomplish goals.
In 2018 I read/listened to more books (all personal development in different areas of my life) than I ever have. Ps this is huge for me cuz I don’t read lol ... Anyway this has for sure been one of my favorite parts of coaching!I’ve grown so much and I’m excited for even more growth this year. 😊
Also my grams is such an example to me! She has been my whole life. As we talked about different parts of the movie that we liked I admired her view. She is going to be 80 this year and is still going strong in her personal development! Guys it’s never too late! There is nothing more worth investing in than yourself. Start now. You won’t regret it. 💜

Last year I got this hoodie from I couldn’t wait for it to arrive! When it did I opened the box so excited to try it on...
It didn’t fit ☹️😡 and I had already ordered the biggest size available.
I remember feeling so frustrated. I thought I mind as well give it to my sister, because it will probably never fit me. I was So bummed that none of my clothes fit the way they should and even more than that I hated not feeling like myself.... not feeling like the happy confident me I had been in the past.
I didn’t like that the outer me didn’t reflect the inner me. The true Cearra.
When I tried my hoodie on this year I thought it might fit better than before but would probably still be too tight and uncomfortable. Wrong-o! It fits great and I feel even better! So happy and grateful for my physical and mental transformation.

I never thought in a MILLION years I’d be posting sports bra pics ha ha but I have to tell you, I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror and I thought man I’m proud of myself for what I’m becoming. 😊
Everyone’s body is so different and go through so many different things. Let’s not get so fixated on what number is on the scale, or the pant size we can squeeze into and focus a little more on the big picture....HEALTH and overall well-being. Are you happy? Do you feel good? Do you have energy? Are you confident? Are you proud of where you are, and excited about where you are heading?

We are creatures of habit. Those habits might be good or bad or just kinda whatever. But each choice we make daily adds up to a who we are.
Are we creating the habits we want? Are we creating the habits we want our kids to learn from us?
To make a change takes courage, it take consistency, but most of all it takes a shift. A shift in mindset, a shift in choices, a shift in habits. I’m far far FAR from perfect but I’m a work in progress and as long as I’m moving forward and progressing that’s what counts. I don’t have it all completely figured out, but I have found some things that have enriched my life and helped me start to make that shift in so many areas of my life!

You’re not as serious as us about salsa unless you eat from a giant bowl and fill your chip to the max!
Fun fact: when we were dating in college we would use delicious tomatoes from his parents garden to make our own salsa. We would do just tomatoes and a salsa season packet and we loved it. Now we have perfected the mix with all the other yummy fresh ingredients. It’s fun that we now have our own garden and have made this one of “our things!”

I’ve been thinking about this lately. Why do we get down on ourselves? Is it because we are unhappy with our current state? Yeah, a little. But more so I think it’s because we know we have such great potential that we haven’t tapped into yet.
Rachel Hollis worded it better than I can, “God loves each of us unconditionally, but I don’t think that means we get to squander the gifts and talents he’s given us just because we are good enough already. A caterpillar is awesome, but if the caterpillar stopped there if she just decided good is good enough - - we would all miss out on the beautiful creature she would become!”
If you feel uneasy, if you feel uncomfortable, you’ve been in your cocoon for too long. Time to break free and become that beautiful butterfly you are meant to be! 🐛 🦋

None of us are perfect, we are all in different stages. Change doesn’t happen overnight. It’s the small choices we make everyday that compound and make the difference whether it be positive or negative.
Don’t be hard on yourself, be patient. (Especially you mamas struggling with baby weight! Your body just performed the most miraculous thing in the world). 💜👶🏼 Just work on being consistent, consistently making better choices that are helping you become your best self.
I didn’t make this progress by going on a “diet”, by restricting food, or by spending hours at the gym. I’ve done it by simply making “better” daily choices to create a healthy lifestyle. I’m a huge believer in moderation in all things!
