Wow. What a weekend at ✨THE BTC SHOW✨
BTC is always about so much more than the stage, the nominations, or the awards… It’s the people.
Getting to hug friends I don’t see nearly enough. Watching people I love step on stage and WIN. Meeting stylists who reminded me why I love teaching. Standing alongside artists who inspire me. And getting to represent Redken in rooms filled with so much talent and passion.
I didn’t take home an award this year, but being named Top 25 in my categories alongside this level of talent is something I’m incredibly proud of. And truly, watching my friends have their moments felt pretty damn special too. 🥹
There’s something about this industry that I’ll never get over and that’s the connection. We may spend most of the year behind our own chairs, in our own cities, building our own businesses… and then weekends like this bring us all back together.
And a very special thank you to Erica Wright for being by my side and supporting me all weekend. The people who show up for you behind the scenes are everything. ❤️
Leaving BTC tired, inspired, grateful, and somehow already missing everyone.

Going to the ✨THE BTC SHOW✨ changed me
I saw this entire world of creativity, education, community and possibility that I didn’t know existed for hairstylists. I came home wanting to create. I started entering. I started sharing my work. I started putting myself out there.
Most importantly, I started feeling like me again.
Looking through these old entries now makes me emotional, not because of how much my work has changed, but because I know what that version of me was about to discover.
One little decision to get on a plane and walk into a room where I knew no one completely changed the trajectory of my career.
So here’s your reminder: you don’t have to be invited to put yourself in the room.
Sometimes you just have to go.

This color correction wasn’t about fixing everything in one appointment, we focused on what’s going to make the biggest impact TODAY.
We had a specific investment we were comfortable working within, so I had to prioritize.
