This cardigan is cozy and oversized and I know it’s destined to become your favourite on chilly days.

Designed with full-length sleeves and a flattering mid-thigh length, this cardigan features classic ribbing along the hem and cuffs. It’s knit seamlessly in one piece and then sewn together.

The beautiful marled effect is achieved by holding two strands of yarn together and working them as one throughout.

I didn’t like the project I was making with this yarn, so I made something else. 😁

I knit a new sweater right from the old one! Why waste time unraveling the yarn and making a new ball! 🧶

And I finished it in a weekend.

It was a super quick knit because of the bulky yarn and big needles I used.

And it’s nice and warm on these cold days we’ve been having. 🥶

I finally got the photos taken of my Mountain Cabin Cardigan for my pattern.

The final step to publishing my pattern is to get it written up and then published.

Oh, I do have to still make a little video on how to pick up the stitches for the cuffs! Oh boy!

I was hoping to have this pattern out at the end of last year, but we were so busy with the holidays it didn't happen. 🙄

But it's coming! I promise! 😁

I got my vest finished. ✔️ Now to just make the pockets and get those sewn on and I'm done!

This is a remake of a vest I had already completed, but when I went to take off a pocket to move it, I snipped the wrong stitch, it started to unravel and I just couldn't save it! 🙄

I'm happy with this one too, though. The colour is "Mink" and I just love it! ❤️ It's very neutral and will go with everything I own.

My first cast on of 2026!

I had an idea of what I was going to make, but now I'm changing my mind. 🤔

I now am going to make something completely different from my original idea. Lol!

I'm loving the texture and the rich colour.

What was your first cast of of 2026??

I had to start my knitted vest all over after I was 98% complete!! 🙄

I wanted to undo a stitch and thought I was being VERY careful, but ended up cutting a stitch in the vest and it unraveled beyond repair! ☹️

So, I've started again. Thank goodness it's a quick knit. I didn't order enough yarn though. This project isn't liking me, but hopefully it will be gorgeous in the end!

These are the only two projects I have that will come with me into 2026. Not too bad!

However, with that being said, I do have yarn on order, so the pile will get bigger soon enough!! 😁

I got my Back Porch Shawl done last night and I couldn't be happier with it. It's been years since I made my last one.

For this one I used Caron Simply Soft in Charcoal Grey, Ocean Blue and Light Country Blue.

So, my Mountain Cabin Cardigan is now complete! 😁 Well, a couple of ends to weave in still, but I'll do that today.

It's thick and cozy and oversized and a perfect cardigan for the upcoming chilly days.

I'm hoping to have the pattern published by the end of the year (maybe sooner? 🤞), so stay tuned.
