My morning formula for a good mood:
β€’ Lights out by 11pm the night before (I tend towards night owl so 11p is 'early' to me)
β€’ Up at 6:45 before my alarm, with the sunrise πŸŒ… (alarm is set on my phone in airplane mode just in case - in another room - NEVER near the bed)
β€’ Carboxy in distilled water before anything else. Followed by another glass of water. 🍢
β€’ Cold brew or hot coffee β˜•οΈ- either served with collagen, organic unsweetened nut milk, and monkfruit. I switch to matcha later in the day.
β€’ More supplements (varies)
β€’ Skincare including face cleanser currently B cleanser, eye cream, oils, and gua sha
β€’ Low impact but high effort (enough to sweat and truly PUMP my heart + lungs) morning movement - 45 minutes - an hour
β€’ Breakast including at least 20 grams of protein
β€’ At my desk by 9 or 10am

If it sounds complicated well - it's so routine at this point I do it without much thought. There are no shortcuts. But the formula works at least 8 out of 10 times. 🀌🏼

What's in your good mood formula? β˜€οΈ

Pain and pleasure
Joy and sorrow
Sickness and healing
Unity and separation

Co-existing together - all of the time.

So much of well-being for me is about developing the capacity to be with it all, as it comes, and to also move on from it when the time comes. This is also what healthy, regulated can do. They can move from state to state with ease. They may not always be at peace - but when activated they can recover fast.

Illness begins when we deny, surpress, and repress what is TRUE. Feel it, process, and know that emotions are merely energies passing through. Pleasure may be just on the other side of pain, and so on. Both can also co-exist.

May this July allow you to embrace all of your humanity- just as it is. 🀍🀍
