Green Juices or Green Smoothies - Which One Is Better? If there is one thing I’ve learned when it comes to nutrition, you can’t just put a patch on your arm, pop a pill, apply a special cream, or gulp down a powdered vitamin or protein drink to achieve great health. There … Continued
Post workout. Got to get it in even when you're traveling. Did a series of 50 - 50 squats, 50 jacks, 50 kicks, 50 sit ups, 50 single leg desdlifts.
It's a struggle to keep the weight off, but it's biology!
Tune in to FOX 2 Detroit this Thursday am....we'll be talking about ReShape Detroit, Healthy You, the launch of our Picture of Health campaign and our April 30 event.
My favorite place - the Eastern Market Farmers in Detroit. Lots of fruit, veggies, music, flowers and people.
Omg....it was hot today! But gotta get ready for that Jamaican heat!
Long day but great day talking to people about health and fitness at the Embrace the Natural You Expo! Got some great jewelry and products too!
Getting strong! Strength training is more about getting cut! It means more muscle which means a higher metabolism which leads to weight loss.
Dinner - superfood packed. The smoothie I didn't have time to make this morning (banana, almond/coconut milk, raw collards, raw cacao, Chia seeds and strawberries) with a Cobb salad (romaine, watercress, turkey, ham, avocado, tomatoes, boiled eggs and a light vinaigrette).
Exercise and this Ravishing Red Juice does a body good!
Enjoying my weekly glass of red wine! Did you know red wine - in moderation - is healthy? It has antioxidants that may help prevent heart disease by increasing levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (the "good" cholesterol) and protecting you against artery damage.
Sippin on some "kickin kale juice." Kale, celery, parsley, cucumber, lemon, ginger and an apple. Delicious! Green does a body good!

Busy Easter! I'm so thankful for the ability to run and for being healthy in general. Did 6.75 miles today at a decent pace. Swim lessons start tomorrow so I can tackle the next thing on my list - a triathlon. Find that inner athlete.
Loving what pilates (and using the reformer) has done for my body. Stronger core, more flexibility and balance. It's definitely helped my running. Great to do on an off day.
What's Roundup? You can find you're favorite conventional fruits and veggies covered on it! More reason to learn the dirty dozen and buy organic. Making the switch to organic and nonprocessed has been life changing. It's also given me more energy to get through tough workouts like todays! Get it in and go organic!
Hmmm...carbon monoxide in Tilapia?! Know your food and watch what you eat. If you don't, you could end up digesting toxins and poisons like this everyday.

After an hour long pilates session, made these delicious whole wheat oatmeal pancakes today - using all organic ingredients. Topped mine with banana and pure maple syrup but omitted the chocolate chips. They were so moist and fluffy! Recipe courtesy sallysbakingaddiction.com. # homemademeals
Eat REAL food! Stripped my pantry thus week of any foods with artificial, toxic or chemical ingredients.

Some dessert after an early start and long but productive day working on my passion - health! These are Almond Butter Brownies (recipe by the Food babe). Soooooo delicious and simple - almond butter, coconut palm sugar, egg (or flaxseed), salt, baking soda and mega chocolate chunks.
You know I love my green smoothies whether it's before or after a workout. Those burpees....whew! This has 1 cup spinach, 1/2 peeled orange, 1 apple, 1/2 cup of broccoli and 1 cup of water.
Great day of visioning! "Focus on the cathedral" not "laying the bricks."
