I have been up to a few things in the last few weeks and the first major thing was seeing my hair and makeup work make it to Instagram page!

This shoot really tested me as an artist and a black woman in the industry but I am so pleased with the work we did!

Ever get to the end of a makeup application on a client and you are wondering why the finish is not what you intended. You wanted glowy skin but instead the skin is dull and matte? I have been there! It can be disappointing but once you understand why this is happening you can take action!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you know what’s stopping you from glowing skin through your makeup? You have to wash your face!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All jokes aside, skin prep is a must. Prepping your skin is not just slapping some moisturizer on your face. Cleanse, exfoliate and pamper with eye patches and serums.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is something you can do at home or on clients if you are a beauty pro. Invest time in your skin!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In this picture with to achieve glowing skin I used illuminating eye patches along with Hydro cool brightening mask. While her skin settled with the masks I did a light face massage with a rose quartz face roller. Once the mask is done I will massage the face with my hands with Kiehl’s ultra facial cream and beauty oil. Before applying foundation I apply makeup serum so the foundation stays put but doesn’t lose its grow. put me on to that product and I haven’t turned back!

So the moral of the story is… wash your face!
