If there’s nothing else that I have learned over this 37 years, it’s that life can come at you fast and hard. Be ready for the ups and the downs. Love yourself thru it all! Trust God to affirm your steps. There’s nothing impossible without him!

This year I slowed down and reflected more on where I was in life. Although not everything was perfect in my eyes, it was perfect in God’s hands!! I was prayed over recently and it got the feelings of self doubt, fear, and frustration out of my mind and heart. It was heavy y’all! But my support community prayed over me, with me, and reminded me of the favor God had on my life!

This hair journey has been a special one. My sister and I didn’t really get along for a few of our teen years and it DEVASTATED me. I knew that I had to fix that and didn’t know where to start. God used a traumatic hair experience to bring us closer to together. She called me crying about her hair and wanting to transition to being natural. WE DID JUST THAT!!! My sister was always the one just to wrap her hair up and keep it pushing and that was best for her, but when she let lil sis get to it….Blessings and more blessings. This was for me a moment of overflow. God restored Us and I got to do what I loved in the process. I love my family DEEPLY and don’t play about mine. There’s nothing more special than being there for her when she needed me. It is the foundation of my relationship with her. I’m the baby sister, but this is my babygirl!!! 😂
