HARUT and Marut's Amazing Story | ہاروت وماروت کا قصہ

Long ago, when the world was still young and humanity had just begun to walk the earth, the angels looked down upon humankind and shook their heads.

"Look at them," the angels said. "They fight, they lie, they disobey the commands of their Lord. Why, O Allah, have You placed beings on earth who spread corruption?"

Allah, the All-Knowing, replied:
"Would you do better, if you were in their place?"

The angels hesitated. Among them, two angels named Harut and Marut, full of confidence and purity, said:
"O Lord, if we were sent to earth, we would be just and righteous."

So Allah gave them a chance—to walk the earth as humans and experience life with its temptations and trials. But He warned them:
"You will be tested, and if you fail, you will face the consequences."

With that, Harut and Marut descended to Babylon, the city of grandeur and mystery. They were given knowledge and power, and they served the people with wisdom. Allah entrusted them with a great trial—the knowledge of magic. This knowledge could be used to help or harm, and it was never meant for casual hands.

The angels taught the people but warned every seeker:
"We are but a trial—do not disbelieve."

But the temptation of magic was too strong for many, and soon people misused what they learned.

As for Harut and Marut, their human forms made them feel emotions foreign to angels—desire, pride, jealousy. One story tells of a beautiful woman who approached them, seeking the secret knowledge they guarded. She asked for it in exchange for… a kiss, or wine, or worse.

Harut and Marut were torn. In a moment of weakness, they gave in.

They had failed the test.

Allah gave them a choice:
Be punished in this world or the next.
They chose this world.

And so, according to legend, Harut and Marut were suspended upside down in a well in Babylon, bound in chains—a warning and a lesson.

To this day, their story reminds us of the dangers of arrogance, the power of temptation, and the mercy of Allah, who tests not to break us—but to teach us.

Birth of Adam and Bibi Hawa | حضرت آدم علیہ اسلام اور بی بی ہوا کی پیدائش

The story of the creation of Adam and Bibi Hawa (Eve) is a central narrative in Islamic, Christian, and Jewish traditions, with variations in detail across these faiths. Below is a description rooted in Islamic tradition:

# # # **The Creation of Adam**
1. **Formation from Clay**: Allah (God) created Adam, the first human being, from clay or dust. The Qur'an describes this process, stating that Adam was fashioned from clay, made from mud molded into shape. Allah breathed His spirit into Adam, granting him life, intelligence, and a soul.

2. **Honor and Knowledge**: Allah honored Adam by teaching him the names of all things, a demonstration of Adam’s superior knowledge and position over the angels. This act highlighted Adam's unique status as Allah’s khalifa (vicegerent) on Earth.

3. **Angels’ Prostration**: Allah commanded the angels to prostrate before Adam in acknowledgment of his creation and the knowledge he possessed. All the angels obeyed except Iblis (Satan), a jinn who was arrogant and disobeyed, claiming he was superior to Adam because he was made from smokeless fire.

4. **Adam’s Life in Paradise**: Allah placed Adam in Paradise, a garden of bliss, where he could enjoy all its bounties with the exception of one tree, from which he was forbidden to eat.

---

# # # **The Creation of Bibi Hawa (Eve)**
1. **Companionship**: Allah created Bibi Hawa (Eve) as a companion for Adam. According to Islamic tradition, she was created from Adam’s side (or rib) to signify closeness, equality, and mutual care.

2. **Life Together**: Adam and Hawa lived in peace and harmony in Paradise. They were provided with abundant blessings and were instructed to enjoy everything except the forbidden tree.

---

# # # **The Fall from Paradise**
1. **Temptation by Iblis**: Iblis, out of jealousy and defiance, deceived Adam and Hawa into eating from the forbidden tree, promising them eternal life or godlike knowledge.

2. **Disobedience and Repentance**: Upon realizing their mistake, Adam and Hawa felt deep remorse and sought Allah’s forgiveness. Allah, in His mercy, forgave them but decreed that they and their progeny would live on Earth, enduring trials and striving toward righteousness.

3. **Life on Earth**: Adam and Hawa were sent down to Earth, where they began humanity's journey. Adam is regarded as the first prophet, guiding his descendants to worship Allah and live justly.

---

# # # **Symbolism and Lessons**
- **Human Dignity**: Adam’s creation and elevation symbolize the unique dignity and responsibility of human beings.
- **Free Will**: The story emphasizes free will, moral accountability, and the importance of seeking forgiveness for sins.
- **Equality**: The creation of Hawa from Adam illustrates mutual dependence and equality between men and women.
- **Mercy of Allah**: Despite disobedience, Allah’s forgiveness and mercy prevail, offering guidance and hope to humanity.

The martyrdom of Hazrat Ali | حضرت علیؓ کی شہادت کا واقعہ

The martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA), the fourth Caliph of Islam and a central figure in both Sunni and Shia traditions, is a profound and tragic moment in Islamic history. His death marked the culmination of his struggles for justice, truth, and unity among the Muslim community. Here is a detailed description:

# # # Context of the Martyrdom
Hazrat Ali (RA) was the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), known for his piety, wisdom, bravery, and unwavering commitment to Islam. He became the fourth Caliph following the assassination of Uthman ibn Affan (RA). His caliphate was marked by significant challenges, including internal dissent and civil strife, such as the Battle of Jamal and the Battle of Siffin. These conflicts arose from disputes over governance, justice, and the handling of Uthman's assassination.

# # # The Event of Martyrdom
Hazrat Ali (RA) was martyred on the 19th of Ramadan in the year 661 CE (40 AH) in the city of Kufa, Iraq. He was struck by a poisoned sword while leading the Fajr (dawn) prayer in the mosque of Kufa. His assassin was a Kharijite named Ibn Muljam, who held a personal vendetta against Ali (RA) due to the Kharijites' defeat in the Battle of Nahrawan.

Ibn Muljam and his accomplices had conspired to kill Ali (RA), Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan, and Amr ibn al-As simultaneously, believing it would end political discord in the Muslim community. However, their plan only succeeded in assassinating Ali (RA).

# # # Aftermath of the Attack
Following the attack, Hazrat Ali (RA) succumbed to his wounds two days later on the 21st of Ramadan. His final words emphasized forgiveness, justice, and steadfastness in faith. He is reported to have instructed his followers to treat his assassin fairly, as Islam emphasizes justice over revenge.

# # # Legacy and Burial
Hazrat Ali (RA) was buried in Najaf, Iraq, a location that has since become a significant site of pilgrimage for Muslims, particularly Shia Muslims. His martyrdom is remembered as a moment of immense grief and reflection on the values he stood for: justice, equity, humility, and devotion to God.

The tragedy of his death serves as a reminder of the challenges of leadership and the enduring need for unity, justice, and compassion in the Muslim ummah.

The incident of Musa (peace be upon him) and the butcher of Paradise | موسیٰؑ اور جنتی قصاب کا واقعہ

The story of Musa (peace be upon him) and the butcher of Paradise is a well-known tale from Islamic tradition. It is often recounted to illustrate themes of humility, service to others, and the hidden piety of ordinary individuals. Here is a summary of the story:

# # # The Story of Musa and the Butcher of Paradise

One day, Prophet Musa (Moses, peace be upon him) asked Allah to show him who his companion in Paradise would be. Allah revealed to Musa that his companion in Paradise would be a butcher from a nearby town. Curious to meet this individual, Musa set out to find the butcher.

Upon arriving at the town, Musa asked around and soon located the butcher. He watched the man as he worked diligently, serving his customers with kindness and integrity. When the butcher finished his work for the day, Musa followed him to his home.

The butcher invited Musa into his home, not knowing his guest's true identity. Musa observed the butcher as he prepared a meal and then took special care to feed an elderly woman who seemed unable to care for herself. Musa learned that the elderly woman was the butcher's mother, and he witnessed the extraordinary care and devotion the butcher showed her.

After ensuring his mother was comfortable and well-fed, the butcher joined Musa and they began to eat. Musa then revealed his identity as a prophet and shared that Allah had revealed to him that the butcher would be his companion in Paradise. The butcher was astonished and humbled by this revelation.

Musa asked the butcher about his routine and why he cared so deeply for his mother. The butcher explained that he had always felt a profound sense of duty and love for his mother and that he believed serving her was one of the most important things he could do in his life.

# # # Moral of the Story

This story emphasizes several important lessons:
1. **Humility and Service**: True piety and worth in the eyes of Allah can come from humble, everyday actions, especially when done with sincerity and love.
2. **Respect for Parents**: The story highlights the immense value of caring for one's parents, which is considered a virtuous act in Islam.
3. **Hidden Piety**: Often, the most righteous individuals are not those who are outwardly prominent but those who perform their duties quietly and diligently, with pure intentions.

The story of Musa and the butcher serves as a reminder of the importance of humility, the virtue of serving others, and the hidden value of sincere, everyday acts of kindness.

The martyrdom of Hazrat Ali Asghar, the infant son of Imam Hussain, is one of the most poignant and heartbreaking events in the history of Islam, particularly within the context of the tragedy of Karbala. This event occurred on the 10th of Muharram in the year 680 CE, known as Ashura, during the Battle of Karbala.

# # # Context
Ali Asghar, also known as Abdullah, was the youngest son of Imam Hussain and Rubab. At the time of the Battle of Karbala, he was only six months old. The battle was a result of Imam Hussain's refusal to pledge allegiance to Yazid ibn Muawiya, the Umayyad caliph, whom Hussain considered unjust and corrupt.

# # # The Tragic Event
The Battle of Karbala was marked by severe hardship for Hussain and his followers, including a lack of water and food. As the battle intensified, Imam Hussain saw the suffering of his family and companions. In a desperate plea for mercy, Imam Hussain brought his infant son, Ali Asghar, to the battlefield, hoping the sight of the innocent child might evoke compassion from the opposing forces.

Imam Hussain held Ali Asghar in his arms and addressed the enemy forces, asking for water for the thirsty infant. However, instead of showing mercy, Yazid's army responded with violence. An archer named Harmala ibn Kahil shot an arrow that struck the throat of Ali Asghar, killing him instantly while he was in his father's arms.

# # # Significance
The martyrdom of Ali Asghar is a symbol of ultimate innocence and the brutality faced by Imam Hussain and his family. It is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by Hussain and his followers in their stand against tyranny and oppression. The event is commemorated annually by Muslims, especially Shia Muslims, during the mourning period of Muharram, with special focus on Ashura.

# # # Commemoration
The story of Ali Asghar is recounted in majlis (gatherings) and marsiya (elegies) during Muharram. In many cultures, particularly in South Asia, the story is depicted in passion plays known as Ta'zieh, and re-enactments of the tragedy are performed to evoke the emotional and spiritual lessons of Karbala.

The martyrdom of Ali Asghar serves as a powerful and moving component of the broader narrative of Karbala, emphasizing the themes of sacrifice, faith, and the struggle against injustice.

The barrier will hold them until the end times when they will break through and spread corruption across the earth, signaling one of the major signs of the Day of Judgment.

# # # Where is Yajooj and Majooj now?
In Islamic eschatology, Yajooj and Majooj are currently confined behind the barrier built by Dhul-Qarnayn. Their exact location is not specified in Islamic texts, and it remains one of the mysteries. Various theories and speculations exist about their whereabouts, but no conclusive evidence has been found.

# # # Other Traditions
- **Christianity**: Gog and Magog are mentioned in the Bible, in the Book of Ezekiel (chapters 38-39) and the Book of Revelation (20:7-8). They are portrayed as nations that will wage war against the people of God in the end times.
- **Judaism**: Similar to Christian traditions, Gog and Magog are viewed as apocalyptic nations that will be defeated by divine intervention.

Overall, the story of Yajooj and Majooj remains largely allegorical and symbolic, focusing on themes of divine justice and the ultimate triumph of good over evil.
