Here’s what some of our customers had to say about our Refreshing & Conditioning Wash, as well as our Luxurious & Hydrating Body Cream ✨🧡

How many of us have referred to Dr. Google for budget-friendly and quick home remedies for our skin concerns?

Although there are plenty of solutions online, it’s important to genuinely understand the anatomy of your skin so that you are not sold dreams in a product, nor are you reversing your skin’s natural reparation process with DIY remedies.

You can check out our simplified breakdown of the skin’s anatomy in previous posts for more info on this.

I know personally how the discomfort that comes with uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, scarring, sunburn, etc. can be truly devastating. When I was younger, I used to swear by bathing with Aqueous Cream yet the older I became, it no longer became convenient nor practical and the frustrating discomfort of discontinuing with it visited me.

Dermatologists always just focused on my eczema while I had no idea of how harsh ingredients in my daily skin- and bodycare products were contributing to my unending skin struggles.

It was only when I explored gentle and clean beauty products that I started seeing a positive change in my skin’s health🤍

I was dumbfounded to realise how such a simple switch gave my skin the space to regulate itself in the most spectacular way. Experiencing this also made me more attentive to my skin’s reaction to a variety of stimulus, which led to a loving relationship between me and my skin to date🧡

Because of this new loving relationship I have with my skin, I gained my long lost confidence back and my cosmetic buying decisions have also reflected this.

We ALL deserve Happy and Healthy skin✨ That is why our Refreshing & Conditioning Body Wash, as well as our Luxurious & Hydrating Body Cream have been intentionally formulated as a reliable base for your skin’s daily care that you can trust always.

Give your skin another shot at Happiness and Health by shopping from our website today. I cannot wait to hear how our products are treating you 🧡

I grew up obsessed with good grades ‘cause I felt that made me worthy - You can imagine what went through my mind when I didn’t achieve my goal(s)

This belief didn’t last in my 20s, but it resulted in me excelling in my schooling career. I underestimated how powerful I’d become in my own right & got overwhelmed at the slightest celebration of my milestones ‘cause I was always chasing the next goal & never appreciated my efforts.

When I faced failure for the first time ever.. I convinced myself that the kindness I was given was ‘cause I was challenged at an abnormal level & not that I deserved it outside of that. Anxiety ruled over me since I was essentially negatively motivated to succeed. It was only in my mid-20s that I had no choice but to re-wire my own thinking.

It took failing after pouring my heart & soul into my goals to realise that I’m more than the results that I’d become so obsessed with. I denied myself so many experiences out of fear that I wouldn’t achieve my goals, yet, I still didn’t manage to achieve them. This truly broke my heart & as a way to escape the heartbreak, I became desperate for change. I began indulging in the things I once associated with guaranteed failure like resting more, taking random trips & just socialising & connecting more.

I was never style or beauty conscious, however, my living experience in the UK a few years ago truly catapulted me towards being more intentional about my appearance & I started enjoying this for myself. As my time there drew to a close, I used my time to reflect on what was next. As I did that, I sought guidance externally & was met with the uncomfortable truth that I had parts of me that required healing. Once I embraced this reality, I started to see things from a much richer & authentic perspective. Since then, I’ve enjoyed looking for self-healing methods in varied ways & the most exciting part so far has been being able to encourage it through my own business at such a deeply personal level – skin!

I now fully enjoy the knowing that I can meet myself with love each day & it truly is my wish for you to experience the same.

Fun Fact Friday✨

Your body’s functionality and purpose transcends beyond just its’ physical meaning🧡

Slide 2 shows us some affirmation exercises that you should try the next time you are gently applying your Nula SkinCare Body Wash & Body Cream.

How many times have you been asked or been the one to ask someone what they do to keep their skin looking great?

Some of the answers I’ve received are: Drinking water, the famous green bar soap, the other skin mattifying brand that many still swear by today and many other one-word answers.

Unfortunately, what our skin reflects is not just the result of one “thing”. Our bodies are too dynamic to have our skin’s condition being ruled by just one product. So, before we rush to find a quick solution to supposedly great skin, let’s re-visit the purpose of the skin and it’s anatomy to deeper understand its’ needs. [Check out the ‘History of the Skin’ series in previous posts]

I hope you will agree that understanding is key to effective skincare as it then helps you form your own healthy beliefs regarding your skin and subsequently how you choose to honour it daily. This is what we want to help you achieve daily through our product range, because I want to share the joy of Healthy and Happy skin with you✨

Hello Nula Family and welcome to our new members!🧡

Founder’s Fun Facts✨

1. Nula SkinCare was founded as a solution to my own skincare needs after years of suffering from various skin conditions that severely affected my own self-confidence while growing up.

2. Our name originates from the word ‘Alkebulan’, which is the original name for Africa that means ‘Mother of Mankind”

3. After years of carrying unresolved traumas from a very young age, I finally became exposed to holistic and sustainable means of self-healing practices that I could incorporate daily and my life has been better since. They’ve become a ritual I practice every morning and evening during my skincare routine because it’s only during those moments that I am able to consciously and lovingly pour into myself.

4. I’m an advocate for (where possible) using natural ways of healing & honouring the body because I am living proof of the healing power of nature and I want the same for you too. Whether you are aware of it or not, your body & skin are natural receptors to all that you expose yourself to (be it thought, action or environment). It’s important to regularly release what doesn’t serve your best Self to avoid much bigger/deeper/more expensive problems later in life.

5. I have ‘chicken-like skin’ all over my body (except for my face) that seems to fascinate (and to some extent) bother a number of people of around me. With all that my body has gone through in my 30 years around the Sun, I regard the millions of spots on my body’s skin as a reminder and symbol of its’ natural endurance and magnificence.

Thank you for reading this far!

Please let me know in the comments what skin/body insecurities you have and where you think they stem from? – (PS: this is a safe, no-judgement zone)
