Decision debt. 🧠

I swear this is a real thing.

By the time someone asks, “What’s for dinner?” you’ve already made about a million tiny decisions.

So tonight? #
Order the takeaway.
Pack the same lunch.
Wear the same outfit tomorrow #.

Your brain doesn’t need another decision.

It just needs a break. 🤍

Everyone asks about the baby.

Be the friend who asks about her. 🤍

A little bit of this life that I will never take for granted 🤍

We talk so much about what babies need…

But what about mums?

One of the simplest things a dad can do in those early days isn’t buying another gadget or trying to “fix” everything.

It’s taking the baby.

Not because Mum has asked.

Not because he’s “helping.”

But because he’s parenting too.

Sometimes twenty uninterrupted minutes to shower, drink a hot cup of coffee, lie down or simply hear your own thoughts can feel like someone handing you a tiny piece of yourself back.

Those moments don’t just give Mum a break.

They say,

“I’ve got this. You’re not carrying this alone.”

And when you’re adjusting to the biggest identity shift of your life, that feeling can mean everything.

🤍 If you’re a mum, what made you feel most supported after your baby was born?

👇 And if you’re a dad, what’s one thing you learnt in those early weeks that you wish someone had told you?

These are the reminders I come back to when my mind won’t switch off simple, but they shift how everything feels

Save this for the nights your thoughts feel loud 🤍

Little Lauren thought she had life all figured out 😅

It's funny…we grow up believing so many things without ever consciously choosing them.

Some come from fairy tales. Some from the people who raised us. Some from a comment someone made years ago… that somehow never left.

And then one day we realise we’ve been living by rules we never actually chose.

Anyone else still unlearning a few? 🤍
