I started my cuticle oils whilst going through Breast Cancer and treatment. I wanted to create something that women could use that was a simple act of self-care and part of feeling cared for. When going through breast cancer so much of who you are, your identity and even femininity are stripped from you and for many women cancer treatment means having to use very gentle and non-reactive skincare and ingredients. Treatment can really take its toll on everything including your nails and cuticles. I researched the benefits of essential oils as well as base oils to formulate blends that were hydrating, nourishing and repairing on nails and cuticles already stressed to offer gentle but beneficial repair. Something as simple as applying cuticle oil was both a small daily ritual and a reminder to remain present, take a little moment to treat myself and celebrate where I was exactly as I was, which during that time, was very bald !! My cuticle oils helped support me through breast cancer treatment and its a stark reminder that breast awareness shouldn’t only matter in the month of October but every month. It’s my hope that when purchasing one of my cuticle oils that you remember to conduct your monthly checks, know your ‘normal’, advocate for yourself if something doesn’t feel right and if you are navigating treatment that you remember to take just a few minutes daily for yourself and never forget what an incredibly inspiring woman you are !! Breast Cancer is a chapter, not your whole journey.

In other news not nail related, we had the humbling honour of helping to transport this gorgeous girl, Phoebe, to her new foster mom while she waits for her forever home ! Such a kind and gentle spirit. You deserve so much unconditional love ! 💗💗💗
