Handbags
Our lives are explained and defined by how we deal with one of our greatest, yet most underappreciated assets, our handbags. With my unrivalled love for handbags, it is maybe not surprising that I draw this parallel.
Like all handbag’s our lives can be well organised or completed chaotic and in disarray. How you choose to pack your life, just like your handbag, is completely up to YOU. It is your job to create order and growth, no one else can pack your handbag.
2 years ago, I stood in front of a room filled with people I barely knew and shared my journey to that point. That was the moment truth and reality hit and my handbag/life started overflowing and things came tumbling out. It was then that I realised that even though it was going to take hard work and dedication that I could take control of what had, over time spiralled into chaos and uncertainty.
From that moment the repack began and with structure and daily purpose I have found incredible joy as a mommy of 2, a businesswoman breaking glass ceilings and an athlete in training to complete my first half Iron Man and a person with a zest for travel and urge to create memories and joy.
The habits and focus in our lives create our lives, so remember to repack your handbag/life daily!
Aristotle said that we are what we continually do, therefore excellence ought not be an act but is a habit.

CHECK YOURSELF
Have you ever wondered why you never seem to be getting anywhere, even though you're beyond busy? Story of my life...
This past weekend, my "burning the candle at both ends", left me physically and emotionally drained, I hit my lowest point. Whilst I'm incredibly fit, I eat and drink what I should and I love my life, I felt some of the following niggly signs of stress that gradually started to creep in:
Difficulty sleeping
Irritability
Panic attacks
Difficulty concentrating
Headaches
Overwhelmed
All of which I know are my bodies response to stress, for many years I looked at these as "fight or flight responses" to life, and as I've gotten older I've since realized that it's my bodies way of shouting to CALM DOWN, TAKE A BREATH AND RELAX. I can, and I have, heard this from everyone I know...but really...I love my busy life!
I love saying yes, I'll do it all, I'll enjoy it and I'll carry on until I can't anymore. Having reached this point on Sunday, I wanted to share some tips and tricks that help me really get back on track and where my focus lies this week.
We can be happy, enjoy life, be proud and work hard - but without balance we can't do any of those to the best of our ability.
I'd love to hear about you combat stress, what do you do to reset and what are some of the symptoms you've experienced when you know you're pushing the limits!
Remember to take it easy and saying no, sometimes can be the best thing to help you find a moment to yourself.

Thank you to each and every person that took the time to wish me a Happy Birthday.
Unlike my normal vibe of going crazy and having a mad rush of a day, and many can attest to this 😂 I took it easy, spent it with my nearest and dearest and relaxed! I cannot imagine a more perfect day!

TOO BEAUTIFUL NOT TO SHARE...
One of my biggest passions in life is to travel, far and wide and of course locally, because we have an incredible country.
There is something about the people you meet, the lives of those that have been before you and left their mark and a sense of freedom knowing that the world is ever changing and there's always a new adventure if you're willing to fight for the chance to experience it.
My bucket list of traveling includes:
📃 Backpacking through Vietnam
📃 Sun, sand and sea in Zanzibar or Bali
📃 India, something about the country has always appealed to me, it looks magnificent and I've spoken often about it with a special friend, and...why not
📃 Hike Mount Kilimanjaro
📃 Greece, loved it once and not taking the chance to go back is non negotiable
📃 Sweden, to a farm I've watched being built and desperate to visit, to my host families and some of my closest friends

THE WORLD IS CHANGED BY YOUR EXAMPLE.
Transforming your life involves going beyond the way you live, co-creating a better life for yourself, and changing the way you truly see yourself when you look deep into your soul. You do this by using your thoughts, visualization, words, faith, actions, or a combination of all of them.
If you've ever had the burning desire to be better, change your mindset, find a tribe to love you and support you, it starts from within, you decide when you are ready.
I absolutely love the difference in these 2 photos, I was pregnant in the 1st surrounded by my beautiful sisters and the 2nd was yesterday wishing I had my daughter cute clothing.
As a mommy of 2 preschoolers, with a full time job, a business owner doing something I am passionate about and fighting everyday to get better at it, staying positive can be challenging, but with personal development, anything is possible 😍

BREAKFAST used to be something I consumed only if I had to and invariably as a 3pm snack due to poor time management and priorities that didn't include my health.
3 years ago changing my breakfast changed my life and here's why

🍋Increased Energy to run around with and after my 2 preschoolers
🍋Weight management (I actually lost the weight my body was clinging on to)
🍋My blood sugar regulated which helped with mood swings and the ever popular "hangry" mode
🍋Concentration levels improved and my focus shifted from "I really should eat" to that of "if I don't eat then I won't have the right mood and intention for my day"
🍋Healthy Habits and mindset towards food. It's not the enemy, it's their to fuel your body
