Stompdrift Dam Water Resort Surrounded by pristine hills and unspoilt vegetation it is home to more than 2 500 plant species and 50 bird species.

The Stompdrift Dam Water Resort provides the only public access to the Stompdrift Dam with its “coastline” of more than 25 km that cuts into the foothills of the Great Swartberg Mountain Range. 6km from the hamlet of De Rust and adjacent to Meiringspoort.

General information

Our unique S/C chalets are built with natural materials in true African Safari style, and are all equipped with ensuite bathroom, basic equipped kitchenette, kettle, toaster etc private wooden deck under trees with braai. R450 per night for 2 people and R50 extra per extra person per night. The chalets suit outdoor enthusiasts only. Please supply own bedding and towels.

Our Shaded camp has 20 sites with electricity and lush grass. Ablutions are (Old government built Ablution) plus a rustic ablution built from reeds and natural bush materials. Ablutions have hot water showers.

Camping rates are R40 per person per night. Child u/12 free. R10 electricity charge per site per night. Caravan/Bush trailer extra R20 per night

Our 200m2 bush Lapa can be hired for Functions, parties and weddings. Enquire for rates. Table Tennis, darts and Pool Tabl
