AfroNotics
We are passionate about ALL things AFRO! We are premium, yet affordable. It all started with a promise! The girls were really sad about this arrangement.
So my husband was so frustrated with our daughters hair textures that he resorted to shaving their heads. He came up with another alternative, RELAXER!!! There was no way I was going to allow relaxer to touch my baby girls heads, especially since our eldest (Liah) had sneakily gotten her hair relaxed one time when she was 8. The results were devastating to say the least. Her beautiful afro was gon

One strand at a time. 🌱✨
Growth, healing, confidence, success — none of it disappears because of one setback. A single hair falling does not make you bald, just like one bad day does not define your journey. Keep nurturing yourself, keep showing up, and trust the process. 🤎

🌱 Your hair IS growing — you’re just losing it at the ends!!!
Your hair IS growing — but if your ends are constantly breaking, you’ll never see the length you’re working so hard for.
A lot of people think their hair “isn’t growing” when the real issue is breakage and poor length retention. Your strands can grow from the scalp every single month, but damaged, dry, weak ends can snap off just as fast as new growth comes in.
That’s why healthy hair isn’t just about growth — it’s about RETAINING the growth. 🔑
✨ Keep your ends healthy:
• Moisturise consistently
• Protect your hair at night
• Avoid excessive heat and manipulation
• Trim damaged ends when necessary
• Be gentle with your curls and coils
Healthy ends = retained length.
Growth is retention. 🌿

🇿🇦 27 April is more than just a public holiday, it’s a reminder of how far we’ve come, and the responsibility we carry to keep moving forward.
It marks the day South Africans stood together in unity, casting their votes in the first democratic election, a powerful symbol of freedom, dignity, and equality for all.
But freedom is not just history, it’s something we live, protect, and express every single day.
At AfroNotics, freedom means:
✨ Embracing your natural hair without apology
✨ Celebrating your roots and your identity
✨ Breaking free from harmful beauty standards and myths
✨ Choosing health, knowledge, and self-love in your hair journey
Today, we honour those who fought for our freedom by continuing to walk boldly in it.
Happy Freedom Day, South Africa 🇿🇦
Let’s continue to grow, uplift, and inspire — together.

Grease doesn’t moisturise — WATER does. 💧
Let’s be honest… a lot of us grew up believing that thick oils and grease were the answer to dry hair. But here’s the truth: oil doesn’t add moisture — it locks in what’s already there.
So if your hair is dry and you’re layering oil on top, you’re basically sealing in dryness… and wondering why your hair still feels brittle, dull, or isn’t growing the way you want it to.
Healthy hair starts with hydration first.
Water (or water-based products) is what actually penetrates the hair shaft and gives your hair that soft, nourished feel. Only after that should you use oils or butters to seal in that moisture and keep it from escaping.
It’s not about using more product — it’s about using the right products in the right order.
If your routine isn’t giving what it’s supposed to give, it might be time for a reset.
Let’s fix your routine 🔥
