FAKE ALCOHOL AND S*X BOOSTERS ARE KILLING ZAMBIANS AND NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IT

When Rwanda banned illegal alcohol they cleaned up their streets. But where did all that production go. It came here, to Zambia. And now our shelves are full of it. Sansa Mukeni, Natotela, Sangalala, Kombucha.
Names that sound local, packaging that looks legit, but the truth is far more dangerous than the label.
Look closely at these bottles. The addresses printed on them are fake. Go and try to find these companies and you will hit a dead end. The websites listed don’t even work. There is no factory. There is no accountability. There is nobody to hold responsible when something goes wrong.
And something is going wrong. This alcohol is not flavored the way it should be. There is no ZABS mark. No quality control. No proof that what is in that bottle went through any safe process at all. What we are drinking is raw methanol and ethanol dressed up as whiskey, brandy, vodka and gin. Methanol does not forgive. It blinds people. It kills people. Young and old. And these manufacturers know it. They just don’t care. All they care about is the money.
This is not an isolated problem. Illicit and counterfeit alcohol sale is on the rise across Zambia right now. Every week there is a new brand, a new fake label, a new batch flooding into townships and bars. And it is the same story every time. Cheap production. No regulation. No traceability. Just profit built on other people’s lives.
I don’t know who is going to speak for us on this. I don’t know which authority is going to step in and actually shut this down instead of just issuing statements. But somebody needs to. Because this is not a small issue. This is people dying quietly, one bottle at a time.
And it doesn’t stop at alcohol. Walk through any market and you will find the same playbook running on so called s*x boosters. Unlabeled powders. Unregistered capsules. Herbal claims with no Bureau of Standards ZABS certification .
