💊 Overview:

Ceftriaxone is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the β-lactam cephalosporin family.
It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, causing bacterial cell death.
It is highly effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, making it one of the most commonly used antibiotics in hospitals and clinics worldwide.

Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP)

Bronchitis and lung abscess

Empyema (pus in the pleural space)
