The causes of the disease
Athlete’s foot
(Epimorphetosis of the feet, fungus between the toes, scaly deposits on the toes and the soles of the feet)
Definition: - This highly contagious condition affects the spaces between the toes, often between the little toe, and the one next to it. It produces a burning sensation, and the skin often takes on a whitish appearance.
It spreads rapidly, leaving the surface red and sore. It may also attack the part where the toes meet the sole of the foot and other areas. It is worse when the temperature is hot and humid. It produces itching and cracking of the skin, a burning sensation and bad foot odor

Causes: - Lack of hygiene, humid conditions that facilitate the proliferation of the fungus, which is always present on the feet but becomes infectious when conditions are right.
Sores caused by boils
What is a Boil?
A boil is a skin infection that starts in a hair follicle or oil gland. Also referred to as a skin abscess, it is a localized infection deep in the skin. A boil generally starts as a reddened, tender area.
Over time, the area becomes firm and hard. Eventually, the center of the abscess softens and becomes filled with infection- fighting white blood cell that the body the bloodstream to eradicate the infection. This collection of white blood cells, bacteria, and proteins is known as pus. Finally, the pus “forms a head’” which can be surgically opened or spontaneously drain out through the surface of the skin.
Causes of Boils (Skin Abscesses)
Individuals who have ingrown hairs may experience a painful acne-like eruption after shaving. The upper skin layers may have some dilation of the small superficial blood vessels, which gives the skin a red or flushed appearance. Pustules and rare abscesses may form on the ingrown hair sites due to the infection with common skin bacteria, such as Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas
Eczema
Includes: A topic dermatitis, allergic dermatitis, and skin eruptions.
Definition: Is a reddish inflammation of the skin that forms small boils, scales and scabs and tends to be chronic.
Symptoms: The patient feels a tight burning sensation at the site of the infection, accompanied by a reddening and swelling, and the formation of small boils. These may burst in a day or two, releasing a yellow colored liquid that forms yellowish scabs as it dries. Illness of the liver, some nutritional deficiencies, upsets in internal glandular secretions, indigestion, stress can also trigger eczema.

Itchiness of the skin
You may have itchy skin over certain small areas, such as on an arm or leg, or your whole body may itch.
Itchy skin can occur without any other noticeable changes on the skin. Or it may be associated with:
• Redness
• Bumps, spots or blisters
• Dry, cracked skin
• Leathery or scaly texture to the skin

Sometimes itchiness lasts a long time and can be intense. As you rub or scratch the area, it gets itchier. And the more it itches, the more you scratch. Breaking this itch-scratch cycle can be difficult, but continued scratching can damage your skin or cause infection.

Causes of itchy skin
Possible causes of itchy skin include:
Dry skin: if you don’t see a crop of bright, red bumps or some other dramatic change in the itchy area, dry skin (xerosis) is a likely cause. Dry skin usually results from environmental factors such as hot or cold weather with low humidity, long-term use of air conditioning or central heating and washing or bathing too much.
Skin conditions and rashes. Many skin conditions itch, including eczema (dermatitis), psoriasis, scabies, lice, chickenpox and hives.
The itching usually affects specific areas and is accompanied by other signs, such as red, irritated skin or bumps and blisters. Internal diseases. These include liver disease, malabsorption of wheat (celiac disease), kidney failure, iron deficiency anemia, thyroid problems and cancers, including leukemia and lymphoma. The itching usually affects the whole body. The skin may look otherwise normal except for the repeatedly scratched areas.
Nerve disorders. Conditions that affect the nervous system
o Such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes, mellitus, pinched nerves and shingles (herpes zoster)
o Can cause itching

Irritation and allergic reactions.
Wool, chemicals, soaps and other substances can irritate the skin and cause itching. Sometimes the substance, such as poison ivy or cosmetics, causes an allergic reaction. Food allergies also may cause skin to itch.
Drugs. Reactions to drugs, such as antibiotics, antifungal drugs or narcotic pain medications, can cause widespread rashes and itching.
Pregnancy. During pregnancy, some women experience itchy skin, especially on the abdomen, thighs, breasts and arms. Also, itchy skin conditions, such as dermatitis, can worsen during pregnancy.

Shingles
The signs and symptoms of shingles usually affect only a small section of one side of your body. These signs and symptoms may include:
• Pain, burning, numbness or tingling
• Sensitivity to touch
• A red rash that begins a few days after the pain
• Fluid-filled blisters that break open and crust over
• Itching

Some people also experience
Fever
Headache
Sensitivity to light
Fatigue
Pain is usually the first symptoms of shingles for some, it can be intense. Depending on the location of the pain, it can sometimes be mistaken for a symptom of problems affecting the heart, lungs or kidneys. Some people experience Shingles pain without ever developing the rash.

Most commonly, the Shingles rash develops as a stripe of blisters that wraps around either the left or right side of your torso. Sometimes the Shingles rash occurs around one eye or on one side of the neck or face.
Cause: It is caused by the varicella-zoster virus- the same virus that causes chickenpox. Anyone who’s had chickenpox may develop Shingles. After you recover from chickenpox, the virus can enter your nervous system and lie dormant for years. Eventually, it may reactivate and travel along nerve pathways to your skin producing Shingles.

Scabies
Definition: It is ancient disease caused by an infestation by skin lice known as sarcoptes scabies var hominis. These induce a skin reaction accompanied by sever itching. It is most often present in crowded, congested areas under unhygienic conditions.
Symptoms: the lesions appear most often on the sides of the fingers, on the front of the wrists and the forearms, on the elbows, under the armpits, and on the buttocks, the groin, and the p***s.
In woman it affects the breasts, ni***es, and ar**la. It affects the chest, waist, and abdomen. It seldom affects the face and rarely appears on the back. The itching increases notably offer lying down at night. Small wrinkles tend to appear at the spots where the itching at one end and slight swelling at the other, through which the parasite can be extracted with a needle.
Scabies may be complicated with eczema, and especially with infections that turn into pus-filled boils
